About ASTU
Assam Science and Technology University was established in 2010 in Guwahati. The university offers various courses in the field of Science and Technology. Assam Science and Technology University Admission
For Undergraduate courses:
- The eligibility criteria for UG courses is that the candidate must have passed 10 + 2 or equivalent examinations from a recognized board.
- The selection for the B.Tech program will be done on the basis of the Assam CEE score of the candidate. Eligible candidates need to appear for this entrance examination before applying for admission.
- For all the other courses, admission is done on the basis of merit in the previous qualifying examinations.
For Postgraduate courses:

- Library: Stretching across 12,000 sq. ft. the area with spacious reading areas, the university central library has a collection of over 20,000 volumes of books as well as a large number of national and international journals.

Ans. The University follows the guidelines of the state examination authority that is Assam CEE and complies with it. These are the requirements:
- The applicants must not be below 17 years of age as on August 01 of the admission year.
- The upper age limit of the candidates for B.Tech admission in Assam is 21 years.
- For SC/ ST categories, the upper age limit is 25 years.
- B.Sc graduates who wish to pursue B.Tech must note that the upper age limit for them is 22 years.

Assam engineering college being the first engineering college of northeast India has a strong alumni network. The mode of exam to get admissions here is CEE. The cutoff rank for unreserved category is top 600 rank for core branches

- The faculties of our department is very good and they are helpful for our study, their teaching techniques are unique
- The campus social interaction is very good and campus is safe for both girls and boys all are friendly manner with each other

- College need to improve in infrastructure in some point ,lab , they built new auditorium now but old auditorium was not too good
- Placement is 3/5 not good for all branches, some year placement good some yr placement company not good, civil company not generally come with vast

I choose ASSAM ENGINEERING COLLEGE, JALUKBARI, GUWAHATI and I not selected other college with the Ashirvasd of GOD I get into the AEC , i choose AEC because it's my dream college No i didn't apply in other college There CEE(Combined Entrance Exam) after securing good rank the college cutt off wise students get their colleges cutt off generally 105-130 (GEN)

- There are some person expense at the last semester for the project work as you have to buy your own chemical for your own project .This is only for last sem project.

First reason it's near to my hometown . And yes it's the sister institute of GIPS guwahati which is very famous pharmaceutical college in Assam . And I visit the campus before admission also and the fees structure also less that's why I choose the college.

I applied to multiple colleges like NEF College, which was my initial preference . However , due to some new govt policies of Samarth portal, I wasn't able to take the admission.. so Girijananda university became my confirmed choice as it also has my subject course..

- I had faculties in my department but other departments lack in faculties.
- No proper maintenance of the college campus.
Admission:
I got admission in Kaziranga University but since Assam Science and Technology University is a government based University and the other one was private university so I chooses Assam Science and Technology University over Kaziranga University. I didn't got rejection from any college but I could have got admission on Tezpur University through Cuet but due to not giving English exam I missed that chance. The admission is given on merit basis. For eligibility one need to clear the CEE exam.

- The aspects of the college that needed to be appreciated is the beautifulness of the campus, the campus promote go green where every month the clubs of the college organise cleaniness drive, and the maintainance of the gardener makes more beautiful.
- All the faculties are highly educated and their experience on teaching makes us easier to dig down into the concept. Also every students of the each department have mentors where the mentor gives us guidance and observes our academics performance.
Dislikes
- The infrastructure is top notch and yet standing tall since 1955 and yet it seems to be new because of the well maintenance.
- I disliked the condition of the road of our college because lots of vehicle passes by and the condition of the roadis not good and it doesn't seems to be nicer on ones eyes

I choose this college because of the good placement scenarios as well as the prominent faculties who has much experience on the respective field also i heard about the extra circular activity of the college which help in developing one's critical thinking of students. I also applied for Jorhat Engineering College, Tezpur University but i choosed Assam Engineering College over the other College because of the prominency of the college and the good placement scenerio. Since it is the first Engineering College of the north east so i was eager to join the college at any aspects. I didn't get rejected from any of the colleges. I don't choose because i found Assam Engineering College to be best in every aspect so i choose this college. The admission process of my college is They conduct CEE exam where the meritious students get alloted during the counseling and after the counseling get over the college gives one notice to join the college paying the admission fees.

- Monthly seminar from big companies and firms for insight into the job field

- Infrastructure is old since it is a very old college and can be improved with mordern equipments
- The college lacks international and national exposure and should be participating in national and overseas events
Admission:
I personally choose this college because this is the oldest engineering college in my state which means more faculty experience and more placement opportunities. Also, it is situated in the heart of the city so you get more exposure to work and gain experience. As compared to this college other colleges are new and have less experienced faculties and placement opportunities. I got this college in the first round itself as this was my first choice. To take admission here we have to clear the state engineering exam named CEE which is held once a year. It is an MCA-based exam of PCM subjects each carrying 160 marks to a total of 480 marks. Students in the top 400 of the general category easily get admission to AEC in the top core branches.

- Infrastructure is very old, and the college road is always under construction
- It's an open campus college, so there are so many outsiders in campus

I chose this always because it was the first engineering college in the North East. And it has a huge alumni network. The placement is quite good for a state college. Although the infrastructure is not good but it's very beautiful. There are some colleges that I applied but due to the fees I did not take admission
