About my college

Likes

The environment, the faculties, my friends.
Had a great environment in the campus and also some quality interactions with friends and faculties.

Dislikes

I had faculties in my department but other departments lack in faculties.
No proper maintenance of the college campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I always had an interest in studying Computer science and engineering so I have decided to study here. It is something which connects me to the real world and I enjoy that. The course includes old methods which requires to be changed and new methods are needed to be implemented. The frequency and timing of exams is quite balanced.

Likes

The aspects of the college that needed to be appreciated is the beautifulness of the campus, the campus promote go green where every month the clubs of the college organise cleaniness drive, and the maintainance of the gardener makes more beautiful.
All the faculties are highly educated and their experience on teaching makes us easier to dig down into the concept. Also every students of the each department have mentors where the mentor gives us guidance and observes our academics performance.

Dislikes

The infrastructure is top notch and yet standing tall since 1955 and yet it seems to be new because of the well maintenance.
I disliked the condition of the road of our college because lots of vehicle passes by and the condition of the roadis not good and it doesn't seems to be nicer on ones eyes

Placement Experience:

From 7 semester students are allowed to seat in campus placement Oil india limited - 2 recruited Nrl- 4 recruited TVS- 5 recruited Ashok layland- 3 recruited Hero motors- 5 recruited Cognizant- 13 recruited The highest placement is offered 24 lakh per year from Oil India Limited to a student of Mechanical Engineering . Nearly 50% of the student get placed or get an offer My plan after getting is to secured a job in oil India Limited.

ASSAM ENGINEERING COLLEGE -A REVIEW

Likes

The student to teacher ratio is good for individual attention to students in every class
Monthly seminar from big companies and firms for insight into the job field

Dislikes

Infrastructure is old since it is a very old college and can be improved with mordern equipments
The college lacks international and national exposure and should be participating in national and overseas events

Placement Experience:

The college is preferred by many for its placement drive. Students are allowed to sit for placements from the 7th semester onwards. Companies have their own selection criteria and procedure to go with. Many private companies and few PSUs visit our college to recruit from the main core brances. On an average salary of 4.5lpa and highest of 24lpa students are recruited. Students if qualified can sit in as many interviews as they want. The placement percentage varies for different brances but on a average among the core brances around 60percent students get placed.

Likes

Campus is very calm and full of greenary, there is a lake inside the campus where we can chill
There are so many clubs where we can get exposure on our interested field

Dislikes

Infrastructure is very old, and the college road is always under construction
It's an open campus college, so there are so many outsiders in campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

From childhood i was interested on electrical things so I took electrical engineering course. In this course that research this us how to make electrical circuit board electrical instruments etc. it's little bit out did it but is helpful it's a basic knowledge. The course is not up to date so it need improvement. There are three class test will be taken best on the topics that was taught in the class.

I choose Chemical engineering in this College because i like Chemistry subject the most. In Chemical engineering we learn basically about principle including Chemical reaction , thermodynamics, fluid mechanics etc.

The campus life and the social interactions are very enjoyable. Very greenary campus, and around 400 acres campus area
The faculties of the colle are very helpful, friendly. They're highly qualified faculty and having good experienced

Placement Experience:

Our college provides on campus placement. Our 7th semester students are eligible for on campus placement. More than 160 companies are visited every year. Average package offers 7 LPA. Big companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm etc. are visited.

Likes

The course is affordable, with good quality of education.
Hostel culture is good in the college. Seniors are good, they help in every field which leads to the betterment of the students.

Dislikes

Infrastructure of the college is not so good. But constructions are in under process.
Scope for higher studies like Ph. D is not so good.

Placement Experience:

Placements in this College is good enough. The Training and placement cell of this college plays a major role in inviting companies , and conducting the campus placement. Students are eligible after 6 semester that is they can apply in 7th semester for the placement. Companies like Oil India Limited, ONGC, NRL, Bharat Petroleum, Amazon, BHEL, BARC, Star Cement, Tata Chemicals, Infosys, TVS, BYJU's, Aditya Birla Group, Vedanta, Burger, DELL, SONY, Havels, Tech Mahindra, Samsung Electronics, TCS, Bharat Electronics, etc and many more visited here. The highest package is 24 LPA and average is around 8 LPA. About 60% of the students get placed every year. My plan after degree is to do higher studies.

Assam Engineering College Review by a 2nd year Electrical Engineering student

Likes

The college faculty is relaly good and helpful
The college is located in the hilly area and feels good

Dislikes

The road of our college is not good it has got plot holes
We dont have proper boundary in our college

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester (4th year) students become eligible for campus placements Tata ,Tata motors ,Vedantu and IUCL are some of the companies that visited our college recently. The highest package in our college was 25lakhs per annum and the average package is 4.5lakhs per annum. 55-60% of students get placements every year. I am aiming for campus placements after getting the degree and also if not i will try for entrance exam such as Gate to pursue further studies.

Assam Engineering College and everything you need to know

Likes

I liked the hostel Life which helps you become a better person.
I liked the nature in which assam Engineering College is situated

Dislikes

I don't like the study culture here. You have to study on your own
Like every other engineering colleges you won't understand much in class and need to study on your own

Placement Experience:

The placements come in the last year. And you can sit in placements from the 7th sem itself. Some tier 2 and 3 companies donot see you cgpa but tier 1 companies prefer if you have greater than 7 cgpa .
