Course Curriculum Overview

The course is a professional line with many placements provided by the college and there are many exams held to test the students if they understood what they learn and take us to an industrial visit also

Internships Opportunities

We did a survey of village for the internship with 4 members as we survey the village and asked them about their life in the village and how they are managing their livelihood in the village and we make a presentation

Placement Experience

The placements are very good as it comes from many different companies from outside.Many past out seniors got placements over Training and placement cells which is provided by the college for the students

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly 20000 admission During admission if we submit Income certificate it's little bit lower Hostel fees 2500 End semester Exam form fill up 1500 Ishan Uday Scholarship yearly 80000 applied last year

Campus Life

There are many clubs under our college which is managed by the students Union and the clubs president.We have a very big event which is held every year on the month of March where there are many events to participate

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities like the rooms are good but there is no campus and there is an intime and the hostel food are not so good and the wifi provided is very slow but there is 24 hours water running which is very good

Hostel Fee: INR 2500 per year

Admission

I chose this college as I want to be an Engineer where I was selected through CEE entrance exam and got selected after the counseling 1st round. It is a very good college and it gives us a best future

Faculty

The exams and the course are very difficult for us and there is a mid semester exam CAT where internal marks are given and an end semester exam with labs exam and vivas....The professor are very good in teaching

NIT Silchar Review: Campus, Career and Career Prospects

Placement Experience:

NIT Silchar has decent placement stat. Approx 75 percent student got placement from campus and they got decent package. In NIT Silchar from 7th semester students are eligible for placement and company comes whole year for recruiting. Approx 100 company visit the college throughout the year. In tech Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Walmart and more companies come. For core L&T, Adani, Tata Steel and more companies come. For service base Infosys, TCS, Wipro will come and give good offer. Highest package will come from tech company and that is 52lpa and average from all companies will lie from 10 to 12 lpa . My plans is that in my 4th year atleast I will get one job. If I don't get job then I will try from off campus or giving paper for government job

Great college with decent infrastructure and a large campus

Placement Experience:

The placements here are actually decent. The average package for my branch was around 13.5 LPA last year and branches like CSE, EC and EI have a higher average package generally. The campus is visited by almost all of the top companies including Google, Adobe, Facebook, etc. The detailed placement records are available on the website of the institute.The percentage of students getting placed ranges anywhere between 70 percent to 92 percent. I plan to get an M.Tech degree after completing my B.Tech course from an IIT if possible.

Placement Experience:

Normally from third semester student become eligible campus placements but most usually take placements in fourth semester or fifth semester The percentage of getting placements are about 60% The highest package per company usually was ?80,000 per month and the average is around 20,000 Per month My plan is to get a job of a construction firm for about one year so that I can collect good amount of experience and they will hire me because I am passout from this college because this is one of the most reputed college after one year or two year, I will try for government exams or some private companies like Gautam farm, et cetera

The students who are appearing for the 7th semester end term examination are eligible for the campus placement drive , eligibility varies as per the companies eligibility criteria, main factors are CGPA score of the particular student. There are many companies who visited the campus for placement drive but the main companies who visited for campus placement drive are : NRL( Numoligorh Refinery Limited) ,ONGC( oil natural gas corporation) etc , the highest package offered was 24 lpa by NRL and the offer was got by 8 students and the average package of our college is 7lpa approx

Not good at all placements. Worst placement college that is ever been. They couldn't get companies coming to this college after such long times. The only companies which comes gives packeges as low as 200000 per annum. which is worst in these present times.

My college experience

Admission is based on the scores obtained. admission using their JEE scores, entering through the CSAP round and JoSAA counseling. The college provides category-based benefits for SC, ST, OBC, and EWS candidates. The cutoff marks for the college typically range from 120 to 130 out of 480. Only the top-performing students in the entrance exam are admitted to the college.
