Nit Silchar the beautiful college to visit

Since my course is electronics and instrumentation so the demand of this course is very high and also placement is very nice. I am very happy for choosing this course. It helps in the core concepts of electronics and instrumentation and also help to deal with real life problems.

Companies visit in the college and provide internship. But it depends upon the students how much he/she is have skills about the course or tech skills. Some of the student got internship at Google, Microsoft also.

The placements are really good here top companies visit every year offer lot of packages. The placements generally starts from 7th semester and continue till end of 8th semester. Mainly the highest package is offered by tech companies and last year it was about 52 LPA. The average package is about 14LPA for Electronics and Instrumentation branch. And 52 LPA is highest. Almost 85-90% students get placed.

Basically there are three types of fee structure in our college. Those students whose family income is 1. below 1 lakh or belong to ST/SC category the tution fee is zero. 2. Between 1-5 lakhs the tution fee is 20833. 3. Above 5 lakhs the tution fee is 62500. The other fee includes caution registration, lab fee, exam fee etc is 38000 for 1st semester only and 10100 from 2nd year onwards.

There are mainly 3 types of fest are there in the college. 1. Tech fest (November) 2. Cultural fest ( February) 3. Posua is Assamese culture fest(April) Library is very nice having amazing infrastructure and highly equipped by books. Sports facility is nice and there seperate grounds for each individual sports. There are lot of clubs in the college like Robotic, ML, Development etc.

The hostel is very big about 500 students are there in the hostel for 1st year. And in the they provide almira, table, bed, one attach balcony, fan, light. The hostel menu is good but sometimes the quality of food become bad. Hostel fee is 22500 for one semester.

I choose this college because I am interested in electronics or circuital branch . I applied in other colleges but I was not getting electronics branch so I preferred this as best choice. One of the main reason for choosing this course is that I got to know from some of my known seniors who is final year student of this college and they also suggest me to take this course. The admission process for Btech is mainly through Jee mains examination. The cutoff is depends upon the category of the student.

The faculty in our college are really good. They are highly qualified and some of the faculty are in the top 2% in the world. The relation of student faculty is good as we can ask our doubt and they are always ready to solve our doubts. The exam pattern is mainly 3 types 1. Mid sem 2. Minor Test 3. End sem

The night life of this college make it more beautiful. We usually hangout to the shop inside college and generally drink tea or coffee and spend time with our friends and create memories. There is no hostel timing for senior boys but for 1st year boys it is about 9 pm and for girls it is about 7-8 pm. There is good gym facility also in the college
