nit sichar has a good foundation education many seminars of different branches held in their departments to keep students update and discuss internship opportunities in ther 3rd year. nit silchar is also adopting new technologies to upskill the students which lead to a good placement in of fourth year

here a good amount of internship opportunities are available through satyendra nath bose summer internship program held beteem 1 june to 30 july availabe for all branches from 3rd year . it can of both online and offline mode

here placements are top notch , every year CSE,ECE ,EIE and EE get good placement in google, microsoft , amazon and many other top tech companies but for civil and mechanical students they have hustle hard to get good job . Even some PSUs come in campus but they usually take students on the basis of cgpa

As an nitian, I can give you a real information of fee structure and scholarship details Fee structure is divided as- 1) Tution fee- 62,500/-(per semester)*2=1,25,100/-(yearly) 2) One time fee charges-5,000/- to 10,000/-(per semester)*2=20000/-(yearly) 3) Hostel - around 6,000/-(per semester)*2=12,000/-(yearly) 4)mess advance- 22,500/-(per semester)*2=45,000/-(yearly) hence for entire four year fee is approx 5..44lakh to 6.14 lakh many scholarships are povided to support students financially, there are NSP , STATE GOVERNMENT and other category students full tution fee wavier is applicable for SC,ST PWD students and it is also applicable GENERAL/OBC studens whose annual family income is less than 1lakh 1/3 rd tution fee wavier is also here for general/obc students whose family income is betweem 1lakh to 5lakh

campus is too big and there are diffiernet clubs like nerds(robotic club) , obietivo(photography club),illuminits and mny more here are some organisation like ncc ,gyansagar and nss which provide a student to show thier talent and maintain their social life along with academics

girls hostel- there are only 4 hostel for girls which hve not enough space and some hostels like gh1 and gh2 are suffocationg , they have only 4 seater rooms whic is unfair and disturbe in academics boys hostel- they are big , have good facilities ,mess and separate hostel for foreign students and have more space

It has good infrastructure , medical facilities and even if a student is hospitalised they can get upto 50 thousand support from the nit silchar . it is greeny campus which give us a chance to stay in a good environment and love our nature too

Faculties are highly qualified and they have in depth knowledge of their respestive subjects. Some are also very strict and they want students to be disciplined if any student attend all classes carefully then they can easily pass the exam with a good marks, here you have to expain each concepts and formulas in detail each step carry marks if the ans is not correct but hte steps are correct then definetly you get a mark for your correct step

there is no such gd or pi rounds for the addmission they just give us a form to fill our details and ask our authentic documents for the verification such as marksheets, caste certificates and many more

as a girl student we have intime at 9:30pm so we have return ous hostels before that , if we late then we have to resister ourself and mention the reason. for boys they are free , they enjoy nightlife and have icecream at 2:00 am and roam freely in campus without any boundation
