NIT Manipur offers 4 programs in 27 specializations. B.Tech is the flagship course here. NIT Manipur Admission 2025
NIT Manipur makes available the B.Tech in 5 different specializations of the duration of 4 years with the total fee set at INR 5.5 Lakhs. The candidate is eligible for admission if they have completed their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the main subjects with at least 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA. NIT Manipur Campus & Facilities
The permanent campus of NIT Manipur is situated in Langol, Imphal. NIT Manipur has acquired 341.5 acres of land in Langol, Imphal's lush green surroundings. Both a boys' hostel and a girls' hostel are available at NIT Manipur. There are currently two hostels for boys and one for girls.
As per the students’ review, the campus life in NIT Manipur is good. The library, although small and mainly meant for study purposes, is fully stocked. Free Wi-Fi is provided to every student on this campus, but the campus does not have a decent facility for sports. Extracurricular activities are somewhat limited in this regard. Despite having cultural and technical clubs, the activities of both are not very enthusiastic.
There are four hostels for boys and a single hostel for girls. Most of these can offer basic facilities like a fan, table, chair, and bed to each room, but unfortunately, these rooms are usually shared by five to six students. Poor water facilities are also reported, while the rooms are untiled. The food options are limited, specifically for vegetarians, and non-vegetarians are accommodated five times a week. Hence the overall dining experience can be better.
Hostel registration and payments are all done online. Students are not permitted to go outside the campus post 7 pm, and no gym facility exists on campus. NIT Manipur offers different undergraduate and postgraduate programs such as B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Sc, and PhD. Admission to these programs is primarily on merit through national-level tests. JEE Main score is required for B.Tech, GATE for M.Tech, IIT JAM for M.Sc, and UGC NET/CSIR NET for PhD. The institute follows an online mode of application with the application fees being course and category-dependent.
The B.Tech admission at NIT Manipur is conducted through JoSSA counseling. The JEE Main JoSAA Counselling is expected to start in June 2025, after the declaration of the JEE Advanced results. The JoSAA counselling is conducted by the Joint Allocation Authority Board at the national level to provide admissions to candidates in the top IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs.
For M.Tech, participating in CCMT counseling is mandatory.
