28 Aug, 2025 GATE 2026 Registration has started for ME/ MTech/ PhD Admission 2026-27. Aspirants can apply online @gate2026.iitg.ac.in upto Sep 28, 2025 (without late fee) and Oct 9, 2025 (with late fee). Further, GATE 2026 Exam will be conducted on Feb 7, 8, 14 & 15, 2026. 25 Aug, 2025 IIT JAM 2026 registrations will begin from Sep 5, 2025 for MSc, Joint MSc+PhD, and MSc+PhD (Dual Degree) admissions. The last date to apply is Oct 12, 2025. Further, IIT JAM 2026 Exam is scheduled for Feb 15, 2026. Check the latest updates here.
NIT Manipur offers different undergraduate and postgraduate programs such as B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Sc, and PhD. Admission to these programs is primarily on merit through national-level tests. The B.Tech admission at NIT Manipur is conducted through JEE Main examination, followed by JoSSA counseling. The JEE Main registration is expected to start in Oct 28, 2025, for session 1. The JosAA counselling is conducted by the Joint Allocation Authority Board at the national level. NIT Manipur JEE Main cutoff 2025 ranged between 166719 to 312646.
For M.Tech admission, students need to appear for GATE examination, folllowed by CCMT counseling is mandatory. The GATE cutoff for 2025 ranged between 350 - 485. Yes, SOP is necessary to submit to the institute for PhD admission. It requires 60% marks in a master’s degree or a 6.5 CGPA. Admission will be done through the entrance examination.
There are three criteria which are required to be cleared by the candidate for admission to NIT Manipur PhD. These criteria are a written Test (conducted by the institute), a personal interview and counselling.
