ONGC Recruitment through GATE 2020, Dates, Eligibility, Registration Process and Cut off

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has released a notification regarding the ONGC recruitment through GATE. As per the notification released, ONGC will recruit Graduate trainee candidates at the E-1 level in the field of Engineering and Geo-Sciences. 

• The official notification reads that the online registration link will get active at the official website in the month of March/April 2020. 
• Candidates must note that there is no active link available at the website and no further formation regarding the recruitment process.

The various posts that will be filled by this examination will be of Assistant Executive Engineers (AEE), Chemist, Geologist, Geophysicist, Materials Management Officer, Programming Officer, and Transport Officer.  Candidates who are interested in opting for these jobs and positions can apply based on their  GATE Cut Off. The link to apply for these positions will be activated soon on the official website of ONGC.

The only prerequisite required is that the candidates have to pay a registration fee and upload their photograph and signature along with the application form. ONGC Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the ONGC recruitment must make sure that they follow all the certain specific eligibility criteria for the recruitment. There are some common eligibility criteria and some post-specific eligibility qualification that is required in order to be eligible to apply for various posts at ONGC through the GATE Examination. Below are mentioned all the post-specific and common eligibility criteria:

• Candidates applying for the recruitment process must be a citizen of India.
• Candidates must hold an undergraduate engineering degree with a minimum of 60% marks in order to be eligible for the post.
• The students who are appearing in the final year of their B.Tech or BE course can also apply for the recruitment process. Their appointment would be made provisional till they pass their final year exams.
• Candidates who have passed the professional exams such as AMIE (Electricity) or AMIE (Mechanical) are not eligible to appear for the ONGC recruitment through GATE.
• The candidates who have obtained an undergraduate degree from the distance learning or part-time are also eligible to appear for the examination provided their degree is recognized by the relevant statutory bodies for employment to posts and services of the Central Government.

ONGC Application Process

The ONGC Recruitment through GATE application form will be available on the official website of ONGC. Candidates who qualify GATE can apply for the same. The official website of ONGC is ongcindia.com.

Step 1 – Visit the official website of ONGC ongcindia.com. Click on the “register” tab.
Step 2 – Enter your contact number and email to begin the registration process.
Step 3 – Fill other details like Academic, Personal etc.
Step 4 – Fill your GATE Details.
Step 5 – Upload your passport size photo and the signature image as per the format provided.
Step 6 – Submit the filled form.
Step 7 – Pay the Application Fee. Take the print out of the Final Slip and save for later.
