What are the GATE 2026 Exam Guidelines?

The GATE 2026 Exam Day Guidelines are a set of rules you must follow while taking the test. These guidelines are set by IIT Guwahati to ensure a fair and hassle free examination process. You must follow these instructions to avoid confusion, delays, or disqualification.

GATE Scribble Pad A scribble pad will be provided inside the GATE exam hall. You must write your name and registration number on the scribble pad before using it. You can take only one pad at a time. If GATE scribble pad is filled, the candidate has to return the previous one and then ask for a new one.

If you have any health issues on the GATE exam day, you must follow the guidelines or report to the authorities about it.

  • If you are suffering from any airborne or contagious diseases, such as chicken pox or measles, you must carry your own medications.
