- Dr. vinay pant is my favorite one, and he is the best at teaching in my department.
- The placements are good in iit roorkee as it is the top 5 engineering colleges in india from 4 th semester ending you will get internship companies like amazon flipkart google microsoft and all other popular companies.
- The prettiest thing in the whole campus is the james thomsan building. it has magnificent lawn and beautiful green and tall trees.
Dislikes
- Admission process was a bit difficult a lot of documents to prepare so take took.the cut-off was too low cause it was the toughest exam.i didn't like the procedure of admission, have to prepare so much documents it was hectic.
- A very few things that are dislike about the college is the rooms of hostels and washrooms of my block, not very much clean and with proper functions
- Some professors are good but some are very rude and rigorous.

- Yah i like all the things in the IIT especially the fests of our college i.e. cognizance and thomso(North India's biggest technical and cultural fest)
- Second thing which i liked is the freedom which we get here. When i talk to my friends who are in other private college they say that there are many kinds restriction but in IIT there is very less restriction. We are free to go outside campus 24X7.
- The campus life of IIT Roorkee is also very good. Like there is canteen facility available 24X7. If anytime we want to eat something we can have it from the canteen. Also the bonding between the juniors and seniors is very good here.
Dislikes
- The first thing which i didn't like here is the academic pressure. Since in IIT all students are the topper of their college or school so there is a very tough competition which builds an unnecessary pressure on the student.
- Second thing which i didn't like is that there is culture in IIT Roorkee is that you have to call your senior by sir or mam.
- Third thing is the mess food. Although it is said that IIT's have one of the best mess food but since i am a foody kind of person so i didn't like the mess food that much.
Placement Experience:
As you know IIT's are know for their internships and placements only. So no doubt they offer a very good package t the students but the thing is that you have to work hard to grab those packages. It is also said that once you get into any IIT then sky is the limit. So, yah the placements of our college is very good ignoring the recent recession period...

- i like the college life it make us responsible adult and gives us lot of freedom
Dislikes
- i dislike that our hostel are way too old and our placement percentage is way less when compared to other IIT's
Placement Experience:
the plaments are good. like around 70-80 percentage students get placed everey year.the highest placement offer would be around 1 cr. from 7th semeter a student can participate in the placemnet season, every campany may have different CG criteria. after my degree i want to do job for 2 years and then i want to study abroad.

- Infrastructure including Library ,classrooms all are quite excellent
- Placements college gives to their students is also quite commendable

- what i dont like is teaching style of the professors
- hostels are biggest turn off as students dont get proper place to live as well
- after you apply for medical in any exam you cant get more than 8 pointer in that course irrespective of how much you perform well.

Placement Experience:
Placements are quite high for tech field .this year 2023 -2024 more than 580 companies visited iit roorkee to give tech placements to students other than tech field core field like mechanical , ,etallurgy has decent placements.
one can opt for placemnets from 4 th year and internships from 3rd year
highest package = 2crore and average package 22 lakhs per year.
Percentage of students getting placed is more than 80 percent.

- The campus is very beautiful and is no less than a hill station itself
- Perfect location for travelling various hill stations
- campus life is very happening and everyday you get to learn a lot.
Dislikes
- 75% attendance criteria compels students to sometimes miss out on some important things
- The food in the mess isn't upto the mark.

There are on campus placements where many companies like Google, Flipkart, Amazon, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan & Chase, Oracle, Sprinklr, Samsung, Paytm, Uber, etc. The average package is 18 lpa.

- One of the best campus, the environment of the college. The flora and fauna. You can feel safe in the campus.
- The location of the college is near mountains, pack your bags and within few hours you are on top of the hills.
- The course curriculum is not much difficult, you get time to do things you like. If you are involved in sports or if you want to learn new skillls.
Dislikes
- The new administration here cares only about the college reputation and not about the students, whether someone is getting depressed or not, they don't care.
- The exam medical leave policy: If you are ill during exams you can apply for re-exam on medical grounds but this will reduce your one grade and the maximum grade given is 8 only rather then 10. This affects the academic performance so much.
- The hostels here should be renewed, IITians don't deserve such poor room facilities.
Placement Experience:
After the forth semester, the 4 year B. Tech studets are eligible for campus internship, while after the sixth semester the 5 year integrated course students are eligible for the on campus internship. In the final year, all the students ( 4-year B.Tech as well as 5- year Integrated Course students) are eligible for the placements.Number of companies visit for placements is around 375 this year. The higest package offered is around 2 crores and the average package is around 20LPA. A decent percentage of students gets placed every year. After my degree, I want a good placement, whether it is on campus or off campus.

- the entire campus, the environment of the campus really puts people in a very nice mood everyday
- the people, everyone here are from all over india and its such a nice thing to meet so many different people

- the size of the campus, its abit on the smaller side compared to other iits
- some of the professors are very narrow minded even though they are very educated and skilled
- the politics, iit roorkee has alot of unnecessary politics
Placement Experience:
IIT Roorkee has some of the best campus placements not only among all iits but all over india, depending on the branch and the job feild we are applying for we can expect an annual salary of atleast 15 lakhs to 20 lakhs. only condition is our grade point should be above 6 or 7.

Course Curriculum Overview:
The curriculum is well designed fact the curriculum has been updated from 2023 batch and the branch itself is approx 60 years old which is beneficial for good alumni base and this branch is specifically is a research-based branch which gives ample opportunity to do msc mtech and even phd and the staff here is highly qualified they did their Ph.D. from ivy league colleges and have a wide research base and have written many research paper and here they ask conceptual base que which can be relatively typical and we do have monthly exams and quizzes and we have an online attendance portal system which is very efficient

The courses provided by Cloudxlab, E&ICT Academy and IIT Roorkee are well structured. All the credits go to the excellent CloudxLab team which provides constant assistance on issues related to labs and coursework via the discussion forum.
The course offers hands-on knowledge in Data/ Data Engineering technologies. It is suitable for anyone with basic programming knowledge, SQL database work, and an inclination toward Data Science. There is many differences in the price as well as the curriculum of the courses offered by E&ICT Academy, IIT Roorkee, and CloudxLab.
Merits
- Well-structured coursework taught through short videos and quizzes for evaluation
- The discussion forum provides assistance in lab work and projects
- The solution of the project is available for assistance
- The videos can be saved for future reference
- Courses are offered at a discount except the lab access
Demerits
- The project work has to be completed in the limited timeframe of 3 months
- Some Spark modules are difficult to comprehend especially by beginners
