Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is well designed fact the curriculum has been updated from 2023 batch and the branch itself is approx 60 years old which is beneficial for good alumni base and this branch is specifically is a research-based branch which gives ample opportunity to do msc mtech and even phd and the staff here is highly qualified they did their Ph.D. from ivy league colleges and have a wide research base and have written many research paper and here they ask conceptual base que which can be relatively typical and we do have monthly exams and quizzes and we have an online attendance portal system which is very efficient

Fees and Financial Aid

yes, many scholarships ar provided for the students on campus and students below a ceratin income level get fee waivers and we can do projects under professors and they may provide a stipend, and the total cost without any fee waiver is around 12 lacs for 8 semesters.

Campus Life

We have Cognizance which is a technical fest and Thomson which is a cultural fest and we have ample amounts of sports and clubs that take their interviews if you are interested in joining them and the seniors are very helpful, and there is overall a positive vibe on campus.

Hostel Facilities

for a semester it is around 17-25 thousand for hotel as well as mess fee student can opt out any of them if they want we get a table chai bed almirah with the hostel and food quality is also good as a student body govers over mess

Admission

I gave jee mains and Jee advanced, I got AIR 7063 and opted for metallurgy branch in IIT Roorkee and after opting they gave us a document pdf which we had to get print and fill it there were approx 8 forms and we had to fill out the affidavit of ragging as well and all these documents we had to submit online and they would verify it and after that, we went to the college where student by student they would check all our forms individually and fees we had to submit online itself there was no offline medium to submit the fees and I belong to general category, I had not availed any reservation but obc and sc st had to submit an extra form that was there cast certificate

Placement Experience:

Stuiarw eligible for placement from 6th semester . There are so many companies visited such as wipro, Deloitte, hcl, tech Mahindra, TCS, and many more. Highest package of BTech is 1.24 cr and average package is 40000. Percentage of students get placed is 60%. My plan after degree is to get an good it job.

Placement Experience:

Room for placements can't be better than GEU. As our department which isn't much in demand and still over 80% of placements rate itself is a story worth telling. I am so glad that it is happening and this is the reason I feel so good studying here as I can't do more as placements care are taken by the university very well.

GEU is super amazing!

Placement Experience:

It's in the final year as once the final year begins, students are asked to pull their socks up and go limitless as nearly 100 or rather much more are there at the campus and interest in CSE students is the highest. Also, there's a large section of IT students who are placed from GEU every year and that too without much of an effort.

Versatile college with good RoI

Placement Experience:

One of the best thing I saw here is placement. If a student is willing to do job then this college is appropriate place from him or her.. Students are placed in IT , SALES , FINANCE, EDTECH , TRANSPORT, DRUGS , etc Students are eligible for jobs and placed from the beginning of pre final semester and can apply in each and every company as per required skills. Not big tech Faang companies visit the campus but a decent level IT companies and limited visit the campus. And conduct their interviews and exams process. Although interview rounds are tough and offcourse nail biting competition among the students. The highest package this year till now 34 LPA by an American MNC . Average package is 550000. Approximately 90 percent students got placed in different domains and fields. My plans are so clear. I will take the job first in IT companies and get some experience on ground level and will grow further.

GEU is a world class place to study!

Placement Experience:

On and average placements worth 6-40 LPA are common. Since some students miss out so on a whole the placements average stands a little below 10 LPA.

The feeling of being in IIT Roorkee

I didnt applied for any other colleges other than some iits which were iit bombay, kanpur, roorkee, guwahati. Just these four and nothing because i got a decent rank in JEE Adv 2025. No i didnt get rejection from any college with my rank in jee main and advanced 2025 The admission process is straight like 1) JEE main 2) JEE Advanced 3) Josaa counselling Cutoff for top seven iits is higher than all other iits neans that you cant get into top seven just by qualifying jee advanced, you must have a good rank....Read More

IIT ROORKEE - A SCRUPULOUS REVIEW

I took part in jossa councelling and got it . I was happy with any of seven old iits . In better way , i would be happy in going any top iit. Moreover i choose it because of it's weather and location. Rest all things are similar to all top iits. Nothing is less in iit roorkee. You have to give jee main then jee advanced. IIT Roorkee - The complete story

I had 4 main options in hand after JEE - BSc Physics in IISC Bangalore (I had cleared KVPY), Electrical engineering in IIT Indore, EPH in IIT Roorkee, and Computer Science in Nit Trichy. I did not choose IISC, as I wasnt sure whether I wanted my career to be in research. My coaching faculties advised me not to take an NIT when I was getting a top 7 IIT. It was a tough choice choosing between EE in IITI, and EPH in IITR. However, at the end, I choose Roorkee because of its legacy, better facilities, and a calmer environment.
