IIT ROORKEE - A SCRUPULOUS REVIEW

Curriculum is very nicely designed. The best part is that it has subjects from other Branches which are related to your branch at industry level. The curriculum develops patience determination and hard working abilities in you. The improvement area is very little but it is . They can add more industry level subjects which help at industry. Each semester has 2 exams one mid term exam and one end term exam . Difficulty level is good . If someone study regularly, he can score good in exams here too.

Iit roorkee provide better Placement opportunities than any other college. It has it's placement and intership cell . Gold man Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, graviton and quantbox are the big recruiters which visit my college. Placement are good with average package of 1800000 per annum. If someone don't get on campus then cell helps in getting off campus placement. Enormous amd strong alumini network helps in getting off campus placement.

In each year there are 2 semester. Odd semester has fee 153k and even semester has fee 138 k . Obc /ews/general candidate having family income less than 1 lakh gets fee waiver of 1 lakh each semester. Obc/ews/general candidate having family income less than 5 lakh and above than 1 lakh get fee waiver of 66k per semester. Sc/st students get 1 lakh fee waiver each semester irrespective of their income. This fee waiver scholarship is available in our college. Other than this you can take government scholarship through government portals. The fee mentioned above includes hostel and mess fee also . 143k and 138k breakdown 1 lakh tution fee each semester and rest amount for mess and hostel fee has mess and hostel fee in it.

Campus life at iit roorkee is super fun . Annual fest is called thomso held in October and technolegical fest is called cognizance held in march .There are clubs for each activity. There are multiple groups. Dance, acting , modelling to accounts competative programming and app development , there are clubs for each thing. Sports facilities are super. There are big sports ground for football basketball volleyball and each sport . There is an enormous cemtral ground for athletic .activities. our college's central library is open for all students. It has stidy ateas too. Each classroom has projectors and sound systems for better education. All clus and societies are student run .

Each room has one fan and ine cupboard pre installed. There is one switch board and one tubelight too. Menu is provided on weekly basis on the WhatsApp group. Mess food is good . It's hygienic and nutritious. Hostel is allotted on the time of your arrival in college at the time of addmission. I am lucky enough to live in a hostel.

I took part in jossa councelling and got it . I was happy with any of seven old iits . In better way , i would be happy in going any top iit. Moreover i choose it because of it's weather and location. Rest all things are similar to all top iits. Nothing is less in iit roorkee. You have to give jee main then jee advanced. If you get good rank , you will get this college. You will have to get air under 5000 to get in iit roorkee or any top iit.

Faculty members are highly qualified. Almost all professors have their PhD degree from foreign Universities. Students teachers ratio is almost 20 to 1. Faculty members treat you like friends and encourage you to ask doubts. Professor naveen kumar navani is my favourite teacher . He teaches about how to live life , this makes him different.there is no faculty who i didn't like . Each semester there are 2 exams mid term and end term exams. Papers are good enough to solve.

We have centarl gym in college. It's well equipped. There are multiple cafetaria in college. Each hostel has 2 canteens. One is night and other is day canteen. All are functional in night also . Library in closed between 12-6 in night in normal days while it's opened 24×7 in exam Times. All hostel are open 24×7 . There are no restriction in walking in campus in night
