22 Aug, 2025 GKV Haridwar BE/B.Tech Fee structure for AY 2025-26 has been released. The Academic Fee is ₹ 5 Lakhs-₹ 5.02 Lakhs.

Gurukula Kangri (Deemed to be University) Haridwar, commonly referred to as GKV Haridwar, was established in 1902 by Swami Shraddhanand Ji to revive the ancient Indian Gurukul system of education. It is a deemed university under the UGC Act 1956 and is fully funded by the Government of India. The university is accredited by NAAC as Grade ‘B’ and approved by the UGC and AICTE. GKV Haridwar is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities.

GKV Haridwar offers UG, PG, and doctoral programmes across disciplines such as Management, Engineering, Science and many more. The university's popular courses include B.Tech, MBA, and PhD programmes. The B.Tech programme is offered in various specialisations. The total fee for the GKV B.Tech CSE programme is INR 5 Lakhs. Admission in Gurukul Kangri Haridwar B.Tech program requires candidates to have completed 10+2 with PCM, as well as qualify for JEE Main. Admission is based on the JOSAA/CSAB counselling process.

GKV Haridwar Ph.D program admission requires students to have completed a Master's degree in a relevant subject with a minimum 55% marks in aggregate (50% marks for reserve categories). Students are also required to qualify in the GKV Research Entrance Test (RET) or by having a valid score in NET / JRF / SLET / GATE exams. The selection process includes a written test (if applicable), a presentation on a research proposal, and a personal interview.

The most liked thing of this college is the well knowledged and experienced faculty along with innovative workshops and it have maintained classrooms as well as labs
Campus is quite large including many sports ground and resting areas.
This college organized several workshops related to your field.

The disliked thing is that the colour of building is so fade and they didn't work on its infrastructure

Hello!! Myself Piyush dangwal and currently I am pursuing btech in computer science engineering from GKV Haridwar. The yearly fee structure for this college is about 1 lakh 20 thousand per year and this charge is for four year. You can also apply for diffrent scholarships here like Nsp, up scholarship etc although approval process for scholarship is quite tough but after that it will be 100% gurrented that you will be selected for scholarship merit.

This college organizes many sporting events like cricket cup,basketball and volleyball tournament and organized a fest called jyanagni which last for four days where lots of activities like dancing , singing and sporting event happens and at last a edm night happens which is a great fun.

No objection for faculty because every teacher is well experienced and well knowledged person who takes classes time to time and support students in times of facing problem. This college conducts two sessional examination each of 20 marks and one semester exam of 70 marks where marking is done quite moderate.

Well this college is only the best college in uttrakhand for doing btech because it is well disciplined college along with the faculty member having 95% placement records. The admission procees for this college is that you have to appear for jee mains examination and have to score a decent percentile.

Life at Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya (GKV, Haridwar)

Likes

The campus life is well with the students who are co-operating, cheerful and supportive. The seniors interact with the juniors and vice versa. The campus provide a life like family and friends.

Dislikes

The infrastructure is not so good. The campus size of Faculty of Engineering is small.
This college is not for co-education. This college has only boys with them, no girls are admitted in this coellge.

Admission:

I choose this college because it is old esteemed deemed to be university. It is one of the oldest university in India with much good prestige in lists of college. It is internationally recognized good institution as stated by the government of India. It is NAAC accredated and also UGC funded university. It is purely boys college, no girls are allowed admission in this college. This institution is managed by the Arya Samaj with collaboration with the state government. It comes under GFTI. I got rejection from Delhi Technological University (DTU), Delhi. My JEE Mains rank was not as much as it was required to take admission into Delhi Technological University. I was not able to score better in my JEE Mains examination, so my JEE Mains rank was not sufficient to get a seat in this college. Then I have other option as Ggaculty of Engineering and Technology, Gurukula Kangri Deemed to be University, Haridwar.

Campus life is good enough as seniors help in mentoring and achieving success as they get .

Dislikes

Infrastructure are good but they helps in maintaining the curriculum advanced with AI and power BI .

Admission:

I have applied for other colleges srom my state Bihar but I know about the condition of Bihar colleges so I choose this college as my first preferances . Yes , I get rejection from other college so I choose this college . Also it is a GFTIs college which make me to choose this college . Admission is taken online or from the jee mains score so if you want to get admission in this college just fill the form and pay the first semester after that your admission gets confirmed .

Campus life is full of experiment and we just get engage in doing experiment and learning about devices .

Dislikes

Infrastructure is old but good and awesome . Amenities are there in bulk but they are outdated . It should be replaced .

Admission:

I have applied for many colleges in counselling but i was not getting EE branch in any of the college, i get low branch like biotechnology in all . But in the CSAB round i get this college so i choose this college with my favourite branch i.e.EE. Yes, I get rejection from all top colleges but at the end I landed here in this college i.e. GKV. Admission is taken through counselling and directly from college also . Eligibility is jee aspirant and above 60 percentile .Overall admission process is simple and good .

Social interactions with seniors are good but they do ragging on the fresher's party . Campus life is also engaging .

Dislikes

Infrastructure are good but they should improve and renovate it . All amenities are outdated and learning facilities are awesome .

Admission:

I have applied for other colleges in JOSSA but i don't get any college in JOSSA so i go for CSAB round and in the second round i got this college so i choose this course . Yes, i get rejection from other colleges, I don't in other colleges because of bad branch in other colleges . Admission is confirmed after visiting the campus directly or online from the website . JEE MAINS exam is also taken for admission .

College faculties are superb that should be appreciated and building should be improved .
Campus engagement is very much active as social interactions are good between seniors and juniors.

Dislikes

Infrastructure quality is good but needs to improve . Campus amenities are outdated and learning facilities are good .

Admission:

I have applied for some IITS and NITS but i get very lower branch in all of these college because of which i chose this course as i get CSE branch in this college . Yes , I get rejection from all NITS and IITS because i get lower branch in Tier 3 college so i chose this college as it is GFTIS . Admisssion process is very simple because we just have to clear cutoffs i.e. of more than 60 percentile .Cutoffs are not so high so any one can clear this exam if someone dosen't get this college then they can apply directly .

Campus life is engaging and social interactions are good and seniors helps us in starting our journey .
Colleges sports activities and GPL is appreciated also its stadium is very good .

Dislikes

Infrastructure development should be there as they are just focusing on building their own home only .

Admission:

I applied for too many colleges but i get this college because i get very less percentile in jee so i decided to choose this college and this course . Yes i get rejection but i never regret of it because this college is also like my dream college because i don't have to bother more about anything in this college . Admission is taken directly by the college and also by CSAB OR JOSAA COUNSELLING .

Dislikes

They build us personally and professionally in 1st year only and rest of the year we work on ourselves .
Infrastructure is good but need attention in renovation . Personal and professional development are good .

Admission:

I applied to NIT SILCHAR but due to less percentile i got this college in the CSAB round . I choose this college over the others because of my less percentile . Yes i get rejection from other college where i had applied . Its GFTI nature make me to remain here in this college . Admission process is very simple as you can take admission by jee mains and college website also . Eligibilty :- JEE Mains and college website exams accepted :- JEE Mains direct admission is preferred by students . cutoffs :- 50 above percentile in jee mains . Admission experience was good .

Campus life is like a normal student life only . Nothing special is there even it is just like a GURUKUL only where we are not allowed to see any girls in our campus .
It is a GFTIs college that I appreciated and I don't want this to become a private college that i want in improvement because some professors are making it private.

Dislikes

Infrastructure and learning facilities are good and ok but placement in this college is very bad .

Admission:

I have applied for other colleges but i don't get other colleges because of my low percentile so i choose this college as my first preferences . Yes , I get rejection from other colleges but i made it here with my low jee percentile and csab round result . Admission is taken by the jee score and csab round result and also through college own website gkv.ac.in in the admission cell you have to choose your stream and fill the form and the you get your admission.

College Campus is full of trees and plants which attracts me a lot . But there should be improvement in the playground area .
Campus life is good as seniors interacts with us like their brothers . Social interaction takes place on fresher's party .

Dislikes

Infrastructure are also of old period . They are not renovating also , they just keeping all the funds money in their pocket.

Admission:

I have applied for other colleges also and i got few NITs but with the lower branch and in this college i get CSE branch so i choose this college to get admission in . Yes , but i rejected because i wanted CSE branch in any govt. college either it is NITs, IITs,or GFTIs . Admission process is very simple . By JOSAA and CSAB round of counselling we can get admission in this college or direct admission is also takes place by our college . Cuttoffs are not so high . Admission experience was good .

Likes

There is no girls in our campus so you will not get good social interaction with girls
Allot of improvement is needed in our college related to management there is lot of problem we are facing

Dislikes

Infrastructure is also not very good but yes there are some professor who encourage you
Bus service is very poor you will regret to take bus service
I am very disappointed with the management and person who evolve in management

Admission:

Due to my lots of mistakes my jee percentile is very less 83.23percentile and i have to prepare for gate so in this college i am getting computer science so that's why i have taken this college and it is near to my home state

Hold a PhD literature or equivalent from a recognized university.

Gurukul Kangri Vishwavidyalaya has separate campuses for boys and girls. However, the application process and seats to all the courses are same. Mode of application to the institute is online. Candidates can obtain online application form the official website. Application fees can either be paid online or by demand draft of INR 600 in favour of Registrar, Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya, payable at Haridwar. The candidate has to submit the printed copy of the application form along with the online generated fee receipt or a demand draft to The Dean, (name of the faculty) Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya.
