The 4 Year Btech Course Cost Around Somewhere 10 To 12 Lakhs At Iit Roorkee Wich Is Pretty Good If We Compare To Private Colleges. Financial Assistance Is Availabe To The Students Belonging To Ews And Sc/St Category. For Students Of Sc/St Category The Tution Fees Is Zero. For General And Obs Students It Cost Around 2 To 2.5 Lakh Every Year. There Is No Campus Employment Here At Iit Roorkee

Firstly the tuition fee of sc/st students is completely waive off. and for other categories the fee is on the basis of there parental income i.e if there parent(both mother and father) annual income is less than 1 lakh then there tuition fee is completely wavie off and if there parental income is lie between 1 to 5 lakh the n there 60 percent fee is wave off.

- Coding culture of IIT roorkee is very good but is also disadvantage for someone who dont want to do IT related job but due to peer pressure he do.
- Extra circular activities of IIT roorkee are too good . like one can do anything he like to do in cultural or sport activity . he can follow his passion of doing anything.

- Academic system of IITR is not going advanced with the time like even today they teach us Engineering drawing like we have advanced machine so no need to do this.
- 75 % Mandatory attendence system is not good because many students don't learn in the class rather that they can study by themselve so 75 % attendence should not be there.
Fees and Financial Aid:
the total fees without any scholarship in our college is about 1.5 lakh per semester but iff you family income is less than 5 lakh then you will have to pay 66% of the tution fees and if your family income is less than 3 lakh per year then you will only have to pay 33% of the tution fee and if your family income is even less than 1 lakh then your tution fees will be waived and the process is so simple and even with 1.5 lakh the facilities you are provided are enough .

The tuition free was 80000 for a year. There are lot many scholarship program's are there such as mcm , and scholarship for higher studies. Currently I am working for two clubs : knox and asme(American society of mechanical engineering) ,working under mechanical vertical.

- Mess food quality and the room space they gave us.
- Attendance criteria which is 75 percent . If a person wants to pursue his skills in another field than this 75% is really high .

Fees structure and scholarship policies are really good. A student from middle class family can get fee waiver according to his category and family income. My fees for 1 year is 142000 after fee waiver. SC/St students have to pay hostel fee only their whole institution fees get waived.If a student getting good cgpa and have good greats skills for industries then placements and internship is not a big issue for him . Placements are good but because of recession low paying jobs are coming in campus .

Fees is also quite affordable. Fees in iit roorkee is like one lakh forty thousand per semester but there are many scholarship available in iit roorkee and your fees can reduce if you are meritorious student.

Yes, there is an option called fee waiver. This reduces the tution fee to 1/3rd for those whose income is less than 5 lakh. And those who are academically good can avail full fee refund by a scheme known as Merit cum means . One really awesome thing about this campus is that the professors here provide paid research internships upto 30000 and on campus internships are always there if you want campus employment. Companies hire for many roles including software developer machine learning engineer , consultants etc.

IIT Roorkee Placements 2023 is still ongoing and hasn’t been concluded yet. The highest domestic CTC was recorded at INR 1.3 CPA while the highest domestic CTC was recorded at INR 1.06 CPA. Students revived more than 500 offers and around 63 recruiters visited the campus.
IIT Roorkee does not release branch-wise placements but around 85% of the entire batch of every branch gets placed with preferred branches like CSE and ECE having a placement rate of around 98-100%.
