IIT Roorkee Begins Placement Season 2025–26; 8 International Offers and 555+ Total Offers in First Two Days

IIT Roorkee Begins Placement Season 2025

IIT Roorkee has launched its placement season for the 2025–26 academic year on a strong and energetic note. The institute recorded 8 international offers and 428 domestic offers on Day 1, with the overall tally rising to around 555 total offers (including PPOs) by the end of Day 2.

The early response highlights strong student preparation, wide recruiter participation, and increasing opportunities in technology-driven and core engineering sectors, setting the stage for a promising placement cycle.

Day 1 concluded with a major jump in early hiring numbers. As Slot 1.1 closed at 1 pm on December 1, IIT Roorkee had already received 436 offers, including 8 international and 428 domestic offers. Recruiters from technology, consulting, finance, research and core engineering participated actively, signalling broad hiring momentum despite global market uncertainties.

The institute said it focused on diversifying job profiles, ensuring opportunities in research, AI, semiconductor roles, trading, sustainability, and product development.

Day 1 saw a wide mix of leading global and Indian organisations. Major recruiters included Amazon, Google, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Qualcomm, Texas Instruments, Oracle, SAP Labs, Rubrik India, Squarepoint Capital, Databricks, D. E. Shaw, Mastercard, NatWest Group, Flipkart, Zomato (Eternal) and others. Core companies such as HPCL, BPCL, BEL and Bajaj Auto were also part of the first-day lineup. The institute reported that these numbers reflect an improvement over last year’s early figures.

Day 2 continued the strong pace, with 42 companies visiting the campus across Slots 1.2 to 2.1 until 4 pm. With this, the total number of participating companies during the first two days reached 116, many offering multiple profiles across engineering, analytics, fintech and research.

Key Day 2 recruiters included Accenture, Accenture Japan, American Express, Applied Materials, Barclays, Deutsche Bank, Media.net, MathWorks, Urban Company, Razorpay, Postman, VISA, McKinsey & Company, InMobi, Qure.ai, Sprinklr, Teradata, ThoughtSpot, Pathlock, OLA Electric, among others.

IIT Roorkee recorded 436 total offers during Day 1 Slot 1.1, which included 8 international and 428 domestic offers. Most opportunities came from key sectors such as AI, data analytics, semiconductor technology, sustainability and core engineering, reflecting strong alignment with current industry trends.

Top recruiters in this phase included Amazon, Google, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Qualcomm, SAP Labs, D. E. Shaw, Flipkart, BPCL, BEL, Mastercard, Meesho, NatWest Group, Texas Instruments and others. The institute said it is focused on strengthening a placement ecosystem that matches industry requirements and student specialisations through strategic partnerships across fast-growing domains.

With more companies scheduled to visit over the next several days, IIT Roorkee expects the offer count to rise steadily. Many high-demand profiles in software engineering, AI/ML, semiconductor R&D, analytics, fintech and consulting are lined up for upcoming slots.
