curriculum is quite good as i am in metallurgy iit roorkee got the best metallurgy lab in whole india with microscopes worth 23 crore and what we have been taught in class has direct implementation in lab or in the practical field.from starting i was interested in materials and part of the machine how they are built so that s made me chose this course.improvements can be made as their are many things changing in the practical field but at present iit roorkee metallurgy department still working to get this into curriculum.teaching methods are very boring in iit rorrkee although professors are highly qualified and they have a deep knowledge of the particular course but they lag in delivering that course to student , i think they should be more interactive wuth students and they should take douvts more frequently .moreover exams happens semester wise including mid terms and end terms with moderate difficulty and timing of the exams is 3 hours for end term and 1.5 hours for mid term .

Placements are quite high for tech field .this year 2023 -2024 more than 580 companies visited iit roorkee to give tech placements to students other than tech field core field like mechanical , ,etallurgy has decent placements. one can opt for placemnets from 4 th year and internships from 3rd year highest package = 2crore and average package 22 lakhs per year. Percentage of students getting placed is more than 80 percent. after degree i will do my family business

1.3 lakhs is semester fees in iit roorkee for general canditate moreover if you are of reserved category u get additional fee cut in iit . and for st/sc it goes down to 36000 as admission fees . campus life here is amazing without any restrictions on boys and girls to be at their hostels at any particular time . weather here at roorkee is amazing and one can feel the vibe within the campus. iit roorkee has north india biggest library with more than 1 lakhs books . cultural fest - thomso tech fest - cognizance Entrepreneurship fest - e summit inter iit is the sports fest hapens every year each iit competes with each other in varois sports . i am in ecell club of iit roorkee that made me realizing my passion on business.all other clubs includiing e cell develops personality .

iit roorkee is a prestigious college it requires a very high sincerity to get into this college and you have to clear jee advanced as well as jee mains to get into this college . i got a rank of 6900 in advance and 24300 in jee mains and then took btech metallurgy and materials engineering in iit roorkee u can get jee mains application form from nta.nic.in after that jee advance application form from that site only .this exam also has reservation ,and one gets lots of benefit to be a part of reserved category.jee mains is of 3 hoursand is bit more easy relative to jee advanced which is of 6 hours. i think so this exam should lower down the benfits given to reserved people as it becomes highly competitive for general to get into iit roorkee.so this is the improvement i am suggesting.
