Govind Ballabh Pant University of Technology and Agriculture (GBPUAT), also known as Pantnagar University, was established in 1960 in Pantnagar, Uttarakhand. It currently offers 2 Undergraduate, 8 Postgraduate and 7 Ph.D courses. The UG courses offered are B.Sc. and B.Tech, and the PG courses are M.Sc., M.tech., MVSc, MBA, MCA and M.Sc. Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology has a composite faculty comprising young as well as experienced teachers. Every semester faculty training programs are started by the university to make teachers get acquainted with the best teaching methods. There are around 7-8 departments in the university and each of them is headed by the respective department heads. The faculty also has around 50 teachers from various student welfare departments.

Ans. Once the student has completed filling up the application form, he/she has to present the form with the documents at the university. This also requires paying the application fee.

Ans. Yes, the university has the option for department change once you have taken admission into any of the courses but this has to be done before the commencement of the session. Next time you can change your course is after completion of 1 year in the chosen course. You can take admission into a new course just like new admissions.
Ques. What is the exam pattern for semester exams?
Ans. Every department like agriculture, technology, home science and science has its own exam pattern. The basic remains the same with theory exam for 50 marks and practical or internal assessment for 50 marks. You can check individual exam patterns for every department under the college menu on the university website.
Ques. Are there any summer internships offered by the university?
Ans. The placement cell of every department is active throughout the year and organises internship fairs every year to provide students with summer internships. Companies like Amul, Hero Honda, and ICICI have visited the campus for summer internships as well as job recruitment.

I chose GBPUAT because it is the best university in uttarakhand and one of the best university in India. I didn't applied for any other colleges. For pursuing BTech in GBPUAT, you have to fill counselling from uktech website and give your choices for colleges and degree in your priority manner. There are 3 rounds of counselling. You have to pass12 with maths and appear in Jee.

Placement results are very good in this field and there is very less competition compared to others fields in which my colleagues are studying. Environment is quite safe as no transports are allowed for students other than cycle. For admission apply for gbpuat ug entrance exam or get admission via vci neet.

GBPUAT offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs under different departments and is inviting applications for its various courses. Interested candidates can apply online on the official website. The application form will be available in online mode only. The steps to apply for any of the courses offered by the university are mentioned below:

The first year fee for the MCA course is INR 41,424, and fee for 2nd year is INR 36,574 at the GBPUAT, Pantnagar.

M.Sc. Zoology course is not available in Gobind Ballabh Pant University. There are other specialisations available under M.Sc. such as Food Technology, Agronomy, Microbiology, Food Science and Nutrition etc.
Admission to all the courses is based on merit in the entrance exam conducted by GBPUAT followed by Counselling. Admission for the B.Tech. is done on the basis of JEE Main score.
