Likes
- The education and teaching quality must be appreciated but low exposure to industry based learning needs to be improve.
- The social engagements with the campus is not much as compared to IITS but there is one advantage of IIT professors who comes to visit our campus on a special occasion.
- The faculties are very helpful and knowledgeable in our college as they support and they are approachable after the class.
Dislikes
- Placement services are good but most of the students prepare for gate exams to get more packages than this college because of which placement is very poor in this college .
- Everything is okay including learning facilities and infrastructure but amenities here are too old . They don't replace it with the good and advanced one .
- The course is full of rigourous and superior quality just lack in recognition and large space to organise and a single one who can just make it more valuable just by putting all money in the college .
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course because of its affordability and the teaching quality of this college is good . They helps in choosing the real life application based projects . Teaching methods are impressive but they don't provide notes . We have make notes by attending class regularly. Frequency and timings of exams are of 3 hrs. For each subject . Difficulty level is moderate and students can prepare it well in the gap days also .
Fees and Financial Aid
Year wise fees are as follows :- For 1st year :- 127250 For 2nd year :- 124250 For 3rd year :- 124250 For 4th year :- 124250 Tution fees are mention above in which all other expenses that you mention are included . Fees of all my batchmates including SCs and STs are same . Scholarships are not provided by the college. There is only a waiver of 5000 in the hostel fees for SCs and STs student .
Campus Life
Annual fest named JANAGANI held every year in the month of December and February. Books are easily available in the library and Central library of our university . We can access it through our library card . Classrooms are there with all facilities including projectors , digital board, speaker, mic and simple white board. Sports events are also held here in the month of December and also it happens in our own stadium named Dayanand Stadium. Student run clubs are like GDSC club and too many clubs are there . It impacts a lot as it gives industry real application based approach to solve problems .
Hostel Facilities
Rooms are there with all the facilities like bed chairs, tables, matresses , wi fi, almirah, water purifier etc. Meal quality is average I can it's perfect for your health because you can't eat vulgar foods everyday . Hostel registration process is simple they give you the hostel form and asks for fees of 1 year to be paid . After payment they provide you the room . Locality nearby is jagjeetpur where you may find too many PGs for students .
Admission
I have applied for IIT bhubaneswar but got confirmed admission in Gurukul Kangri Vishwavidyalaya because of my less percentile . So I choose this college over others . Yes I get rejection from IIT bhubaneswar but I think it's okay I will go to IIT bhubaneswar by giving get exams . Admission process is very easy just fill the form from the website and they will call you to reach at campus . After that just confirm your admission.
Faculty
Student and faculty relationships are good and they support every students in having all doubts cleared and also give projects in which they can also contribute. The most loved faculty is Mayank Aggarwal Sir only because he is the hod and dean of CSE department Exams are not so difficult here you can just pass it by studying one day before the exam .
Night Life
Gym is not there in my campus but there is open gym for all. Library is there and it gets closed by 5 p.m. when the college gets over . Hostel timings are from 6 a.m to 10 p.m . Famous hangout places inside the college is canteen and the library and outside the college is bhadrabad which is just 1 km away from our college . Nightout places to visit in haridwar is the ganga aarti in harki Pauri and our university campus .
