04 Nov, 2025 CAT 2025 Admit Card release date has been postponed. The admit cards of the registered candidates will now be available for download @iimcat.ac.in from November 12, 2025. CAT 2025 Exam will be held on November 30, 2025 (Sunday) for MBA/ PGDM admission. For more details, check here.

01 Nov, 2025 JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Registration has started for B.E/ B.Tech/ B.Arch/ B.Plan admission. Aspirants can register @jeemain.nta.nic.in till Nov 27, 2025 (9 PM). JEE Main 2026 Session 1 will be held from Jan 21 to 30, 2026. For more details, check here.

CSVTU was established in 2005 by the Chhattisgarh State Government. The university is AICTE, UGC and MHRD approved. CSVTU offers UG, PG, Diploma, and PhD programs in the disciplines of Engineering, Architecture, Pharmacy, Management, etc. Admission to the programs is either entrance-based or merit-based.

CSVTU BTech is the flagship course, offered in 2 specialisations. Candidates should have cleared 10+2 with 75% to be eligible for admission. Final selection of candidates is based on JEE Main/CG-PET scores, followed by Counselling. As per the official JoSAA website, the total intake is 90 seats. CSVTU BTech fees is INR 1.5 Lakhs - INR 4.16 Lakhs, based on the specialisation.

Ques. What is an honest review of CSVTU Bhilai?

Ans. Based on students' testimonials, from a ranking point of view CSVTU Bhilai is not good. The national ranking is also not good enough. The curriculum and syllabus for engineering students are not up to the mark. They still follow the old syllabus. The university claims to update the syllabus but it remains unsatisfactory. The semester exams just check your mugging skills. The checking of answer sheets of semester exams is not fair usually.

Ques. What do students say about CSVTU Faculty?

Ans. Student reviews regarding CVSTU faculty are not positive. Students and alumni claim that there is no seriousness with regard to teaching and even paper checking. Teachers who are unaware of subject concepts check the sheet. The answer sheet completed in 3 hrs takes them only 3–4 mins to check. Some faculty check answer sheets with music in earphones while checking, some are busy in their own conversation, and some are just scrolling. There is no seriousness in them.

Ques. Is it tough to score a GPA of 9 and above at CSVTU Bhilai?

Ans. Based on our research, the question paper is never of such a tough level but the disturbing thing is checking and paper analysis. The paper checking and marks distribution is arbitrarily done. Getting a CGPA between 7.5 to 8.5 is easy. For a 9 GPA and above, you have to work hard in all spheres, including high attendance, CT marks, practical marks, etc. Higher the internal marks, higher the GPA. All this depends on your college and how they mark your internals. The syllabus is almost similar to that of other Central universities of India and hardly changes in it.

Exams are easier as compared to PYQ ques.
Checking are easier but they make bad rumour that the university checking are hard.
Most important things I like the most is that it was the biggest University among chhatisgarh.

Dislikes

Sometimes I feels like our university are doing partiality.
And most important it was very slow in processing
Sometimes I feel like our university checking is depend on our luck.

BTech course is no doubt one of the best and latest course in engineering.And our collage also have some specialisation in CSE that make it more advance .And our collage also help us for placement like they provide us many vocational training and aptitude class to make our knowledge more creative and up to date.

Top company recruiting from the campus , average and highest package

We are eligible for placement from 7th sem onwards. And in our collage many big companies are visited like vipro ,TCS ,HCL, Mahindra etc. and they provide 10-20 job opportunities. In our collage average package is about 3 LPA and the highest package was 48 LPA. My plans after getting degree was I wanna try off campus placement.

Yearly fees structure and scholarship

In our btech our tution fees is 37550 per semester.And it was very good and cheap as compared to other btech college.And of our collage provide aptitude class then it's cost will be 1000. and at the end our university exam or we can say end semester exam fees that will be approximately 1000-2000 .And our collage also provide so much scholarship.

Annual fest and various activity in the campus

I'm very excited in our annual fest that we called VYOM because in this we make lots of fun in dancing singing games like indoor and outdoor both. And in VYOM we called some celebrity to join our event recently Akhil sachdeva and Co-founder of boat Aman gupta came to our collage.

Hostel facilities provided by the college

Hostels facility are very nice. In one room we are 4 friends including me. And in our Hostel 24/7 water facility and free wifi all necessary things are provided.And as we are a Hostel student so we can go to Library till 9 PM. And in got 3 time mills in our mess but sometimes I feels like our mess food are very delicious.

Actually in our collage there are two types of faculties member. Some faculty are very good there experience and qualifications are very high and still there are some faculty they don't have any problem either we attend the class or not.

I found my college on the internet and my admission process was depend on my JEE result and As per my cut off I got my collage. Other students can also came from other state and from our state all students are came from via CGPET.

A brief about MBA in BIT, Durg

With such an affordable fee structure the quality of education is pretty good, faculties are experienced and are always ready to help you out with academics as well as curricular activities. The campus is clean.
There is so much greenery in the campus which is really nice. Canteen, library and stationery are inside the college itself which makes everything easy for the students. No extra fee related to anything in between your course also the notes provided
by the facilities are easy and helpful. There are different kind of clubs in the college to push you out and motivate you and your interests, so many new things can be learnt.

Admission:

Tbh in Durg, Bhilai the number of Management college is pretty less. And by comparing all the colleges like Shankara, Rungta etc I feel like BIT was best among them all as it has a great reputation, affordable fee structure, faculties are good, and placements are best among all of them. So I didn't applied for any other college other than BIT. The admission process was very simple and hassle-free. All kinds of exams are accepted like CAT,MAT,XAT etc but the number of addmission is limited to 200 students I think.

I simply give the eentrance exam CGPET and in the basis of this exam I get this college , but this college is not in my first choice , I choose some other college but my ranks are not that well to get admission on that college , so after that I think this is the best college apart from the previous one , because it also have good reputation and placement opportunities

All festivals are celebrated on the campus irrespective of which religion they are.
There are two big outfield as football and cricket both have their pitches.
Our campus is big and has various departments and each of them have a special area of its own.

Admission:

I gave JEE and from Mains i had several options but the Tier 1 colleges. Hence when it was done that I was only going to be eligible for lower ranked colleges I chose this as it was in Raipur and just 6 odd kms from my place.

The campus life is very peaceful there is no case of ragging though there are some rules and regulations which we need to follow but they are for our own good
here the class is very large they can hold upto 150 students in each class and the boys to girl ratio of my class is 76:74

I chose this college over other colleges because it is near my house and also the feese is very less compared to other colleges since it provides the course that i wanted to learn also they sain that their placement percentage is above the charts that other colleges in chattishgarh does not provide befor coming here i applied to kk modi institute of technology and also kalinga university of technology but i rejected their offer because their fees is very high and the other college is very new so i didn't want my future to be in a question mark i heard that ssipmt is very prominent and is very good at academics therefore i choose this college, to enter this college you need either to appear in jee or to qualify in cuet exams then you can contact the college that you want to enter the college then they will help you out in the further processes that are needed to enter also if you are from the locality or if you are from sc/st/obc community you can get a discounted fees and a scholarship upto 1 lakh rupees

Classrooms are big . Too much students around 150 students sit in one class as of year 1 due to which we feel too much uncomfortable and hot as they provide AC but that didn't work for that many students

Admission:

This college is best as far as the news we get in the category of private colleges it provides placements to the qualified ones. Teaching is good but some teachers are just regular i sound like confusing you but belive me this college is like that you can do all that by yourself if you study sincerely along with mastering your skills, building your connections. I didn't get rejection from any colleges i have firstly applied here only and i get selected i have scored a rank of 1248 in CGPET exam as this college accepts students on the basis of CGPET and JEE and admission process is very easy they tell you and assist you to how to do it. This college is mostly preferred by the students who wants to pursue their future in TECHNOLOGY they take CSE core , DATASCIENCE, AIML, AI etc our college has idea lab the first lab in the chhattisgarh and belive me it is soo good they have all sorts of machines and tech that you will use in your projects if you have.

I have applied for colleges in my counselling but i don't get any other college so i chose this college. Yes, I get rejection from other colleges where i have applied. Admission process of my college is very easy-peasy. By giving CUET,JEE Mains and state exam you can secure your seat in my college. Eligibility :- 12th pass with PCM and competitive exam like CUET, JEE MAINS, STATE EXAM should be qualified.Overall admission process is easy not so difficult.

How is the answer paper checking in CSVTU?

One of my friends studied at CSVTU. According to him, there are various kinds of people who check answer sheets.

It might be a new M.Tech graduate student. An experienced professor, who could have 20–30 years of experience in education. So, definitely, you can predict the difference in marks for the same answer sheet. And, that is the reason why similar answer sheets of students get good marks while others don’t.

Sometimes passing the exam depends on the subject, your preparation, etc.
Theory questions are easy to get good marks, just keep your answers and diagrams neat. These papers are mostly given to experienced faculty members for checking.
The faculties sometimes get less time to check your answer in regular exams. This is due to the abundance of answer sheets, but not enough compensation.

This is different in this case. In backlog exams, they get time to read your answers properly because of less number of sheets to check. That sometimes is checked strictly. Thus checking papers could sometimes be done lightly or sometimes harshly.

As per the data collected from Collegedunia’s Reviews, the highest package of Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekananda Technical University is in the range of INR 12 LPA to INR 20 LPA offered to a B.Tech student placed in Microsoft as a software developer.
