What is an honest review of CSVTU Bhilai?

Based on students' testimonials, from a ranking point of view CSVTU Bhilai is not good. The national ranking is also not good enough. The curriculum and syllabus for engineering students are not up to the mark. They still follow the old syllabus. The university claims to update the syllabus but it remains unsatisfactory. The semester exams just check your mugging skills. The checking of answer sheets of semester exams is not fair usually.

What do students say about CSVTU Faculty?

Student reviews regarding CVSTU faculty are not positive. Students and alumni claim that there is no seriousness with regard to teaching and even paper checking. Teachers who are unaware of subject concepts check the sheet. The answer sheet completed in 3 hrs takes them only 34 mins to check. Some faculty check answer sheets with music in earphones while checking, some are busy in their own conversation, and some are just scrolling. There is no seriousness in them.

Is it tough to score a GPA of 9 and above at CSVTU Bhilai?

Based on our research, the question paper is never of such a tough level but the disturbing thing is checking and paper analysis. The paper checking and marks distribution is arbitrarily done. Getting a CGPA between 7.5 to 8.5 is easy. For a 9 GPA and above, you have to work hard in all spheres, including high attendance, CT marks, practical marks, etc. Higher the internal marks, higher the GPA. All this depends on your college and how they mark your internals. The syllabus is almost similar to that of other Central universities of India and hardly changes in it.

I like the campus of my college it's quite big and also it's proper maintained.
The college has a big library with all the books are properly maintained
The canteen food is also good with proper hygiene

Dislikes

The classroom is not properly maintained the windows are broken the benches are dirty and also broken
Although the compass is big but it does not have a proper playground for any sports
And also although the campus is fully Wi-Fi but there is no Wi-Fi

BIT DURG a 3.5/5 college

Likes

The faculties are really good at their respective subjects and are eager to help the students.
The computer systems are really good and updated
The network connectivity (wifi) is really good for all classrooms.

Dislikes

Placement opportunities needs to be improved a lot.
The college focuses more on attendance but it should focus more on skillset of students.
The infrastructure is somehow old and it should be developed.

Admission:

Actually, I just applied here only.I did not apply to any other college because this was the best engineering college in Chhattisgarh. But even if I had applied to any other college , I would have easily get admission there. To take admission one must clear CGPET or JEE mains examination. The overall admission is good.

No I did not get rejected from any other colleges, as I had a good rank in my entrance exams. admission in the college is in 3 steps .1st we apply for the colleges in the online portal Then afterwards we have to go to a nearby document verification centre nearby and after everything in done on the basis of our rank, the colleges are allotted and we have to go there and take admission

Auditorium because thats the only place without cameras and there was AC which was perfect for bunking classes
Little showoff gardens it was actually pretty good looking

Dislikes

College canteen food was not so good and there was on proper sitting arrangement in canteen
The way they organize any event they seperated girls from boys
Girls and boys were not allowed to dance together or in group during farewell

Things I Like in SSIPMT Raipur: 1. Supportive faculty and good placement support 2. Clean campus with modern infrastructure 3. Affordable fees with scholarship options.
4. Regular tech, cultural, and sports events 5. Active student clubs and extracurriculars 6. Wi-Fi enabled, well-equipped campus
7. Affordable hostel facilities with food 8. Access to digital library and e-resources 9. Skill development workshops and seminars

Dislikes

Lack of sports events and limited sports facilities
A little more strict attendance policy but still better then others
Compulsory CT exams and with less gaps inbetween exams

I got admission in SSIPMT Raipur through CGPET. I didn’t apply to BIT Durg, only filled for SSIPMT because I had heard about its good placements and support from seniors. No rejection from anywhere — I cleared CGPET and passed 12th PCM, so eligibility was fine. Admission Process: CGPET rank-based 12th pass with PCM Online counselling, then offline document verification Preferred Exam: CGPET Cutoff for CS/IT: Usually within 10k rank Whole process was smooth and simple.

There are only 4 clubs of toastmasters in Chhattisgarh and Ssipmt is one of the college this is a great opportunity
SSIPMT is only college have Ideal Club in Raipur Chhattisgarh

Far from main city Raipur Chhattisgarh it's like in rural area
Sometimes feels some of the faculty members doesn't take some opportunities seriously
there is no proper or official senior junior interraction

"A Comprehensive Review of SSIPMT: Academics, Campus and Culture"

Infrastructure: Comparatively SSIPMT, Raipur has a best infrastructure in Chhattisgarh
Faculty: SSIPMT Raipur has the best qualified faculty members
Placements: SSIPMT is the only private college in Chhattisgarh who invites more than 50 companies every year for on campus drives

Dislikes

Students: Although the resources are good, students are not at all of that kind
Some useless club: Some clubs which waste both faculty and students time
There is strictness regarding having 75% attendance compulsory

Admission:

Student need to appear for admission test which is called CGPET, Chhattisgarh Pre engineering Test. Based upon ranking college and branch are decided.CG VYPAM is responsible to conduct the exam and councelling for the whole process. Private colleges works upon ranking based admission government colleges follow government reservations. Class test takes place in every 2 months and end semester exam in almost every 5 months. It is not too hard course but demands regular focus and learning. Admission process is very simple and smooth, I do not have any suggestion about it.

Placement traning is good. teacher are trying to get good out of us and some time guid us .
idea lab session of IOT are held and teacher are trying to get good out of us
proper equipment are available in our lab for project work

some teacher are unable to control the class room student are always shouting in the class create unhealthy environment
75% attendence category is very difficult to mentain,not helping in out future growth
campus is too small as compair to another . hostel food is awful and not good for health. it create health issue in long term

i chose this collage over other becaue it is nearest to my home town. and best in the area in term of only placement. the atmostpher of my collage is good for only semester study exploration is dufficult in this atmostpher if you want to explore the event . collage not going to sponsor eventhough you have some of those event the 75% attendence category is killing the dream of exploration ,

My college is good at in it's infrastructure .
There are clubs like NCC ,NSS and TOASTMASTER .
we have good teaching facilities available in the college .

Dislikes

The minimum 75 percent attendance requirement .
Not experienced faculties and not enough staff for teaching .
Our college is situated very far from the city .

Admission:

i select this college of mine because my elder brother was from this college and it is situsted in the capital of our stste which makes it easier to access for many things and for the edmission i have given my cgpet exam followed by the counselling session our college .
