What Students Say
Likes
- Faculty members are generally qualified and approachable, and students can seek help with academics and projects.
- students should supplement the university curriculum with industry certifications, coding practice, internships, GitHub projects and real-world development work.
- There are cultural events, technical activities, clubs, sports and other extracurricular activities. Hostel students can participate fairly actively in campus events.
Dislikes
- The main improvement I'd look for would be more advanced, industry-standard laboratory equipment and greater practical exposure.
- I couldn't find a reliable current official university figure for the overall girls-to-boys ratio.
- The ratio can also differ substantially between CSE, other engineering branches and the university as a whole.
Course Curriculum Overview
The B.Tech curriculum is relevant and reasonably comprehensive, covering core subjects along with practicals, projects and modern areas such as AI/ML, cloud computing and cybersecurity. Real-world preparation. Improvements needed. Exam A good academic foundation, but students need self-learning and practical experience to become fully industry-ready.
Internships Opportunities
Haridwar University provides multiple channels for internships through its placement cell, industry collaborations and Internshala. Company visited like Infosys and many more tech companies . Also job faire are organised.
Placement Experience
Haridwar University provides regular campus-placement opportunities across IT, core engineering and other sectors. The university reports strong overall placement activity, but programme-wise salary and placement data are limited publicly, so students should ask for CSE-specific statistics before admission.
Fees and Financial Aid
For a normal B.Tech CSE student, the currently published academic-course cost is ₹4.77 lakh for four years, before hostel, food, transport and any other optional/personal expenses. The official 2026–27 fee sheet I found does not provide separate B.Tech fee amounts for SC, ST, OBC or management categories.
Campus Life
A lively and comfortable campus environment with good infrastructure, regular cultural and technical events, sports facilities and multiple student clubs. Students who actively participate can get considerably more out of campus life than those who only attend classes.
Admission
I chose Haridwar University because it offered the B.Tech branch I wanted with accessible admission, good campus infrastructure, scholarship opportunities and a manageable overall fee. The admission process was straightforward, involving registration, document verification and merit/entrance-based admission.
Faculty
I couldn't find a reliable current faculty-to-student ratio specifically for B.Tech, so I wouldn't give a made-up number. Faculty-student interaction is generally described as approachable, particularly for assignments, projects and academic doubts.
Night Life
Campus nightlife is relaxed rather than party-oriented. The cafe, sports, gym, library and hostel common areas provide enough options to unwind, while Roorkee's cafés offer additional evening hangouts. Students looking for clubs and a major-city nightlife scene may find the environment comparatively quiet.
