Uttarakhand Technical University (UTU) Admissions 2024
Selection Criteria:
- Admission to UG courses is based on the inter-se merit of Uttarakhand State Entrance Examination (UKSEE). A merit list will be prepared based on marks and scores. Qualifying students will have to appear for the counseling.
- Candidates having 50% to 60% marks and valid qualified GATE score for General/OBC candidates will be given preference in admission. Candidates having valid and qualified GATE score are not required to appear in the University entrance examination. During counseling, first few seats will be filled by the qualified GATE candidates and then the remaining seats will be filled according to the merit of the University Entrance Examination (UKSEE). Admission to MCA, MBA, MA, MPT, M.Sc. and Diploma is based on the inter-se merit of the Uttarakhand State Entrance Examination (UKSEE).
- Admission to the Ph.D. program shall be on the basis of the entrance examination conducted by the University.

The University has a pretty good placement record. The placement process is a bit easy and the placement cell of the college is also very supportive.

Uttarakhand Technical University (UTU) Scholarships
The scholarship is provided by the state or central government. The loan facilities are available for students from all courses. The scholarship is available for merit students and SC, ST, or OBC students. Eligible candidates can fill the scholarship application form from the dates given in Uttarakhand Technical University official notification.
- The Centrally Sponsored Scheme “National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS)” was launched in May 2008. The objective of the scheme is to award scholarships to meritorious students of economically weaker sections to arrest their drop out at class VIII and encourage them to continue the study at the secondary stage.
- Scholarship of INR 6000/- per annum (INR.500/- per month) per student is awarded to selected students every year in State Government, Government aided and local body schools.
- There is a quota of scholarships for different states/UTs. Students whose parental income from all sources is not more than INR 1,50,000/- are eligible to avail the scholarships. Scholarships are disbursed by the State Bank of India directly into the bank accounts of students on a quarterly basis.

- Library: All books in one place, no need to search randomly & to buy expensive books. This is the importance of the library. The library has 2014 books of CSE, 1635 books of ECE, 1386 books of EE, 1965 books of ME, and 1172 books of civil. Each branch has more than 60 titles that help the students to refer and gain knowledge.
- Sports: The University has sports facilities for all students. The Students can be physically fit and mentally relaxed.
- I.T Infrastructure: The University has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.
- Auditorium: The University has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.
- Laboratories: The University has a departmental based laboratory facility for the students.
- Classrooms: The University has a well-equipped Classroom facility available on the campus.
- Cafeteria: University has a well-furnished and hygienic canteen which provides healthy and nutritious food to the students. - I dislike the fact that the college is located in the hills, that is why there are not that many transport and facilities here, the kids have to wait a lot for vehicles to go home and it is a very important basis
- College is in Ekadam area so in winters it becomes very cold, that is why Prince's children cannot be adopted

There was no such reason for taking admission in my college that I am admitted in this college because my brother was doing his bachelors in mechanics from here and I had not given many entrance tests, I had given some entrances in which I had got selected but I did not have to come anywhere, so the value of B.Tech degree was PCB, so without G Mains also you could do Inter in PCB on the basis of your merit, so I filled the counseling of Institute of Engineering and Technology College in the chat ID of there, which is my college, recently I filled the counseling there and I got a college in the second counseling, college selection and Vikas was doing graduation, so he said that it was technology, when I took admission in 2023, till that time there is only one technology branch in Uttarakhand, after that Dwarahat is also fine, it opened just from this year in Eid, in 2023 itself, there was Government Technology in the daughter's ID, that's all about why I chose this college

BCA will help me achieve my future goals as a brilliant programming and software developer. Eligibility for it is computer science in 12 and mathematics. Cut off should ne 70%+. I went to this college becz this was in my town and had a great placement history and good campus. No i didnt got rejected from any other college my first priority was this only

How do I get academic transcripts from Uttarakhand Technical University (UTU), Dehradun?
You can go to the university with the required documents and pay the required fees to receive the transcripts.
Following are the documents required:
- Copy of your Degree.
- Copy of All Year Marksheets, including any re-attempt marksheet, if any.
- Passport Copy (First and Last Page).
- WES Transcript request form (If applying for ECA from WES Canada)
- Letter with your university Roll Number and details mentioning the person whom you are authorizing to collect the transcript on your behalf.
- Copy of the ID of the person who is collecting the transcript.
For 2 sets of Transcripts INR 800 is required. You will be able to collect them after 4-5 days.

The University offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs like B.A. L.L.B, B.Arch., L.L.B, BHM, MCA, etc. The candidates need to clear the JEE Main for admission to B.Tech. program. Whereas for other courses, candidates must sit in the Uttarakhand State Entrance Examination, UKSEE. Yearly fees for the B.Tech. course is Rs.1,02 lakhs, Rs. 51,000 is charged as fees for the MBA course and Rs. 47,200 is yearly fees for the M.Sc. program, whereas Rs. 53,000 is the fee for B.Sc.
