- What an outstanding crowd that our college has because every student comes from nice financial and academic background.
- Placements are again outstanding as GEU has one of the placements ratio.
- GEau hostels be it NRI hostel or the boys and girls hostels all are outstanding.
Dislikes
- I didn't liked the area close to the university as most local landlords often raises complaints against students for no reasons.
Course Curriculum Overview
There aren't any specific reasons that I took this course. Just like most students I also did my homework that where can I give myself the best opportunity for placement and do a work which will serve a purpose. It was indeed CSE where I know I can give my best and also not study meaningful but will work for some meaning too in future.
Placement Experience
Campus placements starts here from the final year only as before that intenrships and workshops and trainings take it's toll. So, once they starts, every other week we have some or the other companies visiting here and not just that, they also don't go empty hand.
Fees and Financial Aid
GEU is an outstanding and yet underrated university just because the kind of fees that they charge. Our fees for engineering is 5 lakhs a year and many consider that as high. However, I look at it as the opportunity cost and considering that the fees is indeed less and therefore one may debate on affordability but can't on reasonability.
Campus Life
Tech fest are often referred as Hackathon as they happens once every semester. We then have annual fest GRAFEST, mostly in March or April before the final semester. Sports and other activities are little gloomy as classes mostly ends by 5 and after that hardly left with energy to invest time for that.
Admission
I applied at some private universities as I didn't prepared for JEE and all. So, even though it was a dream to study at IITs, and IIITs, I couldn't get admission in any of those as I didn't even applied. In private the two best possible options were GEU and LPU and I had confirmation from both but I chose the former.
Faculty
Faculties to students ratio in CSE is by far the best. Best as majority students in our university are pursuing CSE and majority faculties are from our branch. So both are in majority. Professor Anjali Shinde who is from IIT Bombay is my favourite of all.
Night Life
I don't use university facilities as university population is too high but on the other hand off campus Clement Town has some of the best facilities. We have cricket and football turf on the main road. We have tennis courts and we have endless eating points too close to our university. Buddha Temple attracts the highest crowd.
