Doon University is one of the best Universities in the country and has been leading since its inception year 2009. The university is located in the year lush green serene location of Shivalik range and it aims to provide areas of research and methods of pedagogy. To be eligible for admission to undergraduate courses, applicants should have passed class 12 in relevant discipline from a reputed board. Candidates having a graduate degree in a relevant discipline with minimum 50% marks are eligible to apply for PG courses. The selection process consists of an entrance test followed by group discussion and interview round. Final selection is based on the overall performance of candidates.

- I liked the campus full of greenery also the environment is so good faculty is also good . We are provided with digital boards in the class which makes the learning easier.

First of all the college is government and the fess is comparatively less then other colleges and it is a central university of the state. Admission procedure is based on the entrance exam conducted by the university. Who pass the entrance and got their name in the merit list they get admission

- Locality was not up to the mark. Locals were involved in each and every things
- English was lesser used in the college in some of the classes

Eligibility to enter into the college was 60% at that time now it must have been changed. There were some of our knowns who have been in this college before for graduation. Got some good reviews about the college so decided to join it

The University was in my Hometown and the transportation was convenient The admission process is very simple, all you need to do is give an entrance exams and you'll be selected based on your score and the number of seats available

- In my department as there are less number of students, each student gets personal attention from the faculty which is much needed in a language course.
- Campus is really beautiful with guards everywhere for safety. Outsiders are not allowed to enter without showing their IDs.

- Repetition of same days. We have a certain mindset towards Universities that it will be fun but in this university you have to study and gain a good cgpa.
- Due to recent addition of NEP policy many things are disorganised and mismanaged.

I applied into all the government colleges and universities for language course but as CUET became very competitive and difficult for me but I was able to crack doon University's entrance exam. Dehradun being my birth City also was a very big advantage for me as I could still live in my home and attend college.

- Faculty here in Doon University is very helpful and available 24/7 for students as my of the professor even lie in university campus. They are also easily approachable.

- The cafeteria and the quality as well as variety of food could be one issue that needs a bit of improvement as a lot of day scholars come from a way across so that would be helpful.
- The internship's quality could be improved as well as there are some departments which do not get intership opportunities they can be given good exposure as well.
Admission:
I applied for Delhi University, BHU as well as JNU. The reason I didn't went there are in Delhi University I wasn't able to get the best colleges of North campus and in south campus residence as well as other expenses were out of my budget. The reason for not going to BHU were that I play professional cricket and I was having my state camp while I got admission in BHU throgh CUET but that somehow came into my camp timing. In case of JNU I wasn't able to get pass the cutoff. Our university takes admission based on entrance exam conducted by our own university and cut off is declared and students are enrolled on basis of them.

The admission process of this college was simple. Online registration and then entrance exam , if passed then you have to come college to pay the admission fee. I chose this college because it was the only college providing a degree course for spanish language.
Likes
- The central library is a well built building with a really good collection of books from vast genres
- It is a safe space for women and LGBTQ+. The freedom that we get in compared to other places is better and we don't get judged for the way that we dress

- The placement rates are low, less than 20% get placement from a class
- The washrooms around the building in the Campus are broken and not functional enough. The food quality in mess is also a little poor

I did apply in JNU as it is one of the best colleges for language but I couldn't opt for it. I choose this because it was on my next priority option. The admission process is quite easy. The eligibility is around 75% in your 12th exams, and the access ment through entrance exam that this college has. We also go through an interview round with the faculty that basically is a formality but determines the result

I’m currently in 12th standard with PCB, i want to persue BCA. Can i do it without maths and CS?
First of all, Doon University offers an Integrated BCA+MCA program only. To be eligible for this program, you must have completed 10+2 with mathematics from a recognized Board of Secondary Education. The minimum % marks required are 50%.
Based on the above criteria, it can be concluded that you won't be able to pursue a BCA course from Doon University without Mathematics in class 12.
