Likes

Faculties are good they have good knowledge and provides excellent teaching to every student.
The annual day celebration is very good, time to time fest gives us the opportunity to show our talent to the university.
All details regarding admission is there on the university website .there are reservation benefits provided for different sections of society like sc st obc etc.

Dislikes

The washrooms around the building in the Campus are broken and not functional enough. The food quality in mess is also a little poor
In summers when the classes end and theere is gap between 2 classes the gatekeepers in building closes the classes and students have to suffer in the hot environment and climate which is not good
There is no conveyance facility available . The college does not provide for bus facilities so it becomes difficult for students who come form afar to opt for this uni

Likes

The environment is awesome all the people are friendly and nice there is no ragging of the juniors rather the relation between seniors and juniors is awesome we support and play together the campus is peaceful and sound.
There are lots of activities that happens in university... There are different types of clubs one can join
The teachers anre qualified and the they put their efforts

Dislikes

The management of the university is poor
There are facilities in university but thay need upgrade
The ncc if for only girls and not for the boys

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course i am persuing bsc hons integrated not many colleges doesn't provide this course especially not at this fees structure..the curriculum is good but needs a little update as it becomes hectic for the students to cope up with the classes

Nice College

Likes

The faculties are well educated and well experienced
The atmosphere of the college is evergreen
The classrooms are also near and well maintained

Dislikes

The washrooms are not too much good of this college
The books are not too much in library of the college
The college parking area is not too much big

Course Curriculum Overview:

The warhsrooms should be repaired and the water cooler also should be repaired. The difficulty level of the exam in decent and ther average time for the exam is half an hour . Over all the college environment is good.

The environment and students are really good. There is no show off or bullying anyone or judging anyone.
Maximum things are online. Like you can see your attendance daily. You can register and choose your subjects in the beginning of semester from portal online.
There are various clubs that have their activities and workshops. There is exposure to extra curricular activities but you should take the initiative to organise something.

Dislikes

I dislike the unavailability of good faculty. There are some faculty very good but others are poor.
The washrooms need to be cleaned. They are cleaned only once inthe morning.
More events and fests should be organised.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are present especially for Language students with companies like Maruti Suzuki, Amazon, etc. It is also entrepreneurship centre by EDI. Entrepreneurship is promoted by the University. There are other internships also that are sent by teachers to us. I will do masters after getting the degree.

I choose this course because i love to read maths. Maths is an interesting subject. Our teachers are really doing well exams timing is also good according to their difficulty level except algebra.. like the teacher sets difficult paper accordingly

Doon University

Likes

The campus life in Doon University is very tranquil as well as beautiful. the campus is surrounded by lush greenery and is very safe in every terms.
Faculty here in Doon University is very helpful and available 24/7 for students as my of the professor even lie in university campus. They are also easily approachable.
The structure of university not just focuses on academic but overall development of a student as there are many other clubs here including cultural,sports social services and many more.

Dislikes

The cafeteria and the quality as well as variety of food could be one issue that needs a bit of improvement as a lot of day scholars come from a way across so that would be helpful.
The internship's quality could be improved as well as there are some departments which do not get intership opportunities they can be given good exposure as well.
The transport facility to our university is not quite convenient as students have to walk at least 2 km from city bus stand,those who come from public transport so that is one facility which can be provided.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of our university has been quite busy in recent years. Decent amount of companies are now coming to visit us . The local brands of dehradun also come to our university namely Decathlon marts taking management students. According to a recent report 75 to 80 pg students were placed last year in 2023. And the companies were Amazon, HCL technologies , ICICI Bank , Mercer, ITC limited Wipro etc. The average packages were 5 to 6 lakh per annum.

Likes

Aspects that i like the most is academic program, faculty expertise, and support and infrastructure and the aspects i don't like is outdated and inappropriate facilities
Participating in extracurricular activities
Volunteering for community service projects

Dislikes

Limited opportunity for socialization and campus involvement leads to isolation
Insufficient support for people with disabilities
Exclusively can create an unwelcoming environment for some students

The curriculum have coverage of fundamental concepts and advanced training, and has an interdisciplinary connections and electives. It provide us with practical skills and hand-on experience. They provide us with the opportunity to present our researchers , project, ideas and presentation.

The environment of college is very calm the staff and faculty of college is very cooperative and helpful
The building and the management of everything
Plants and trees in the campus are very well maintained and raken care properly

Dislikes

Wifi is not working many times which is a problem
There are dogs in University sometimes they get aggressive and bite some students
The cafeteria is not good after the tender has been changed

Placement Experience:

3rd yr students get the chance to sit in placement Companies like vipro, Amazon, decathlon etc visit our university during placement Highest packages are 50 lakh to 80 lakhs per annum Percentage of students getting placement is 80 to 85. My plans are of masters in my field

Debunking Doon University

Likes

The atmosphere of the college is normally very peaceful.
The geographical location is also very ecstatic.
The campus is full of greenery and a big playground where students sit in the sun during winters to enjoy their time.

Dislikes

The teaching faculty is shortstaffed in some departments and therefore an irregularity arises sometimes in the schedule.
Only two fests, that too of a moderate level are organized in the college per year.
Public transport is somewhat lacking near the college therefore plan your transport facility accordingly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is very relevant and it is very helpful for the students preparing for the competitive exams in their respective branches. The science department has a curriculum that is oriented to the JAM exam and the GATE exam. Also, the management department And the languages department impart their teachings in a manner that will be professionally helpful to the students studying in the respective branches. The sciences department also promotes research and has adequate facilities of various kinds of labs.

The good infrastructure of the college and the great greeny environment in the lap of himalayas
The teacher are very supportive even they are in the government college teacher are very helpful and they are very brilliant teacher
The availability of this professional courses in such a area and in a government college

The poor management of the college and staff is very arrogant especially exam cell
Their are free environment student can do anything they want no such restriction in any area everyone can do anything they want
The improper management of the classes their are some department where hardly in a week 4 classes has been done

Placement Experience:

The placement is not good in this college the student who get placement in the college are from the management no placemnet for the science student . In 6th semester I am eligible for the placement . The companies visited here for the placement is accenture amazon decathlon and etc. The highest number of package goes around 8 to 10 lakh per annum. The percentage of student getting placed is 25% from all department . My plan is to do msc in microbiology and became professor in a college

The fresher life at doon university

Likes

The environment in the college is a 10 on 10 , it is filled with greenery and looks the most beautiful in the monsoon .
The faculty is very helpful, they are very calm and take things into matter
The library is very helpful , a lot of books are available for studying

Dislikes

The environment does feel very nice but at times it gets so humid
The canteen food is disgusting, insects have been found , most children avoid it as they should
I feel the sitting area in the library could have been a little more , but anyways its fine

Bsc economic hons offers mathematics, microeconomics, macroeconomic, basics of computer application as the compulsory subjects for 1st year , on the scale of easy to hard it would be computer , microeconomics , macroeconomic , mathematics.
