Likes
- Dr. vinay pant is my favorite one, and he is the best at teaching in my department.
- The placements are good in iit roorkee as it is the top 5 engineering colleges in india from 4 th semester ending you will get internship companies like amazon flipkart google microsoft and all other popular companies.
- The prettiest thing in the whole campus is the james thomsan building. it has magnificent lawn and beautiful green and tall trees.
Dislikes
- Admission process was a bit difficult a lot of documents to prepare so take took.the cut-off was too low cause it was the toughest exam.i didn't like the procedure of admission, have to prepare so much documents it was hectic.
- A very few things that are dislike about the college is the rooms of hostels and washrooms of my block, not very much clean and with proper functions
- Some professors are good but some are very rude and rigorous.

- The college provides you endless opportunities with great technical and cultural societies available to explore different career paths and passions.
- The college has great infrastructure in terms of library, co-working spaces & latest technology, resources available to facilitate learning. 1:6 is girls: boys ratio. The compulsory attendance policy helps students focus better on relevant things.
Dislikes
- The course structure is a bit old which deincentivizes students from pursuing their branches.
- Placements become tricky if you are from a lower branch and do not go that extra mile to become a part of technical societies which teach you software development, AI-ML and product design as very few core companies come which have a decent package.
- There is little focus on quality research. Many professors are usually involved in their own work and do not give much attention to quality of students' learning experience.

Students have 2 ways to get on-campus placements, first is by getting a PPO after the summer internship which students undertake after completing their 3rd year. A lot variety of companies come for various roles such as software developer, analyst, consultant, technical trainee. The firms such as BCG, JPMC, Goldman Sachs, Amazon, American Express, ITC, HUL offer really good offers. Around 25-30% students overall get summer internships on-campus. The percentage is higher for circuital branches and lower for lower branches.
For on-campus placements again a lot of good companies come for similar profiles. Packages as high as 30-40 LPA are offered by some of the big firms. Companies such as Flipkart, Matercard, American Express, Accenture etc offer good packages. Average package is around 13-14 lakhs overall. After the placement season wraps up around 70-75% batch ends up with an offer.

- Sports is well promoted by the college, with the sports department getting heavy funding. All major sports facilities are available.
- Mess food, unlike a number of private colleges, is quite good.
- There are a large number of student technical and cultural groups, which provides several opportunities for holistic development of the students
Dislikes
- As an avid gym goer, I find the food is not rich in protein, and major protein sources like milk, paneer and egg are restricted in quantity available per student.
- The budget given for tech groups is quite less as compared to the sports funding
- The course curriculum looks like a mixture of Electrical engineering and physics, which leads to only partial knowledge in both fields

Placement Experience:
Being an IIT, the campus placements are pretty good. Over 90% of the batch gets placed, with a median of 20LPA. All major tech, financial and management companies come for placements. Highest package generally goes up to 2 crores each year, though this is an international offer. The highest domestic package is around 80LPA. These offers are generally for the quant offered by HFTs (High frequency trading), which refers to quantitative analysis in stock trading. The placement season is in first sem of 4th year, and if you have a good resume with 8+ CGPA, you are all set to go. I plan on sitting for AI-ML placements.

- Campus is very beautiful with amazing infrastructure.
- The sport facility are very top notch and good.
- Campus fest and events like Thomso and cognizance are very engaging and grand.
Dislikes
- Peer pressure is too much at IITs. So working hard is important
- Internship opportunities for core branches are very less.
- Schedule is hectic due to too much classes and quizzes and exams
Course Curriculum Overview:
The course curriculum is very good but some courses feel irrelevant some time according to ongoing trend in industries and companies.
So new curriculum which is introduced recently is better having AI and machine learning applications.

- The most amazing thing about my college is they a provide an amazing environment to grow and lot of opportunities.
- The beautiful campus and the Jame Thomson building ,the greenary in the campus is too good and lively.
- Lots of festivals and college fests are celebrated which keeps us alive ,give chances to take the stress of studies out.

- The peer pressure here is so distressing sometimes.
- While studying some courses feel irrelevant with the jobs available.
- During internship and placement season students face lot of stress.
Placement Experience:
In IIT Roorkee after 4th semester internship opportunities are provided. Companies visit to give summer internship opportunity and most of the companies also provided pre placement offers. While placement season starts in 7th semester. Placement opportunities are descent 80% students get placed.

- The campus is beautifull, Full of Flora and Fauna, You can find many kind of birds animals and trees around the campus, you can visit the website of DoSW IIT-R and CCF IIT-R for images and more info.
- Girls to boys ratio is 20 : 40, it is just like majority of engineering colleges in India.
- You have a lot of freedom inside the campus, you can have a night walk with your friends inside the beautiful campus, you can find a lot of helpful seniors who can guide you.
Dislikes
- Academic life is very stressful, professors do not give you grades easily.
- Placement and Internship seasons are both very important as well as stressful, arguably the most during college life.
- Dean of Student Wellfare and Wellness are not at all serious for the campus issues like mental health and Hostel maintanance.
Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for the placement from the 4th year of college, more than 100 companies visit the collge, from which very few will be open for you if you are from any non-tech branch. The placments highly depends on you CGPA, a person with lower CGPA and high skills will most probably be unplaced. This is the one thing that no one talks about IIT Placements that people even after their degree remains unplaces if they are unable to compete inside the college.

- non-understanding professors in most departments and hard grading system

campus placements are their for 5th year students, after 8th semester basically, for my branch , companies like ONGC, british oil , cairne like companies visit, last year 17 out of 30 students were placed on campus with an avg package of 17lakhs for my branch.

- The working atmosphere in my college is quite updated with the present world.
- We have a strong alumni base who visits college regularly over months to help their juniors excel in their respective fields as well.
- Timely events and fest are organised in the college with a brilliant sports facilities included all sports of chess,table tennis to lawn tennis and squash.
Dislikes
- Fees for a general category guy is quite high in comparison to others I guess.
- The girls to boys is quite high than other engineering colleges. But still I guess it's quite low. Its like 1 girl over 4 boys.
Placement Experience:
Campus placement starts in Semester 7 and 8 for can say, in the last of graduation.
HUL,TCS, Microsoft,JP Morgan and many huge companies visit campus for placements.
Highest pakage in placement goes around 1.5 crore annually to lowest pakage around 8 LPA.
Companies mainly comes for SDE role. But apart that few comes for PM, Data Science, Consulting profiles as well.

- I disliked the behaviour of some of the students of my college .
- I disliked that there is not an equal opportunity for every student

The placements of this college are very good. The students from the semester 7 are eligible for the campus placements and the students from semster 5 are eligible for the internships . There are about 150 companies visited every year for placements .

- The ratio of each boy east girl is 5:1 huge competition

- The first thing that i like about my campus is that it is so beautiful and Green.
- There is always something happening around some new project or activity that is so good
- My department is civil engineering that is more than 100 years old in this college that gives us a strong alumni network

- Hostels condition are not good they really need some modification
- Focus more on grades rather than skills.
- Less chances of placement for core branches

Campus placements starts after completion of degree although students apply for internships from 3rd year, many companies like amazon, google, Microsoft, flipkart, TCS, wipro, and many core companies like dr. Reddy, relience visit our campus for placement. But it becomes really difficult to get placement in a core company because of competition almost 80-90% students of my branch got placed most of them in non core. Highest package go around 50 lpa and average go around 15-20 lpa. I am also planning to get placement after completing my degree

The courses provided by Cloudxlab, E&ICT Academy and IIT Roorkee are well structured. All the credits go to the excellent CloudxLab team which provides constant assistance on issues related to labs and coursework via the discussion forum.
The course offers hands-on knowledge in Data/ Data Engineering technologies. It is suitable for anyone with basic programming knowledge, SQL database work, and an inclination toward Data Science. There is many differences in the price as well as the curriculum of the courses offered by E&ICT Academy, IIT Roorkee, and CloudxLab.
Merits
- Well-structured coursework taught through short videos and quizzes for evaluation
- The discussion forum provides assistance in lab work and projects
- The solution of the project is available for assistance
- The videos can be saved for future reference
- Courses are offered at a discount except the lab access
Demerits
- The project work has to be completed in the limited timeframe of 3 months
- Some Spark modules are difficult to comprehend especially by beginners
- The videos are extremely short and sometimes fail to explain the entire concept
- Lab web console and Hue editor face technical issues on a regular basis.
Ultimately it can be said that it is a decent learning platform that provides training at subsidiary rates and is growing at an exponential rate.
