IIT Roorkee Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Placements are good as you all know its IIT. The avg package of all branches is still around 20 LPA . For CS its around 35-40 LPA. And for all other branches its greater than 15 LPA. Im a first year student so i have not seated in placement but there are so many companies that visit iit roorkee for placements, like google,microsoft, ibm, oracle, etc Highest package secured by a student this year is 1.5 crore. Nearly 95 percent of students get placed every year for sure. My plans after degree is to get placed and do my job.

There is a dedicated placement drive that is handled by Placement & Internship Cell organized in final year during the first semester. There are provisions for students wishing to persue further studies.

Iit roorkee provide better Placement opportunities than any other college. It has it's placement and intership cell . Gold man Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, graviton and quantbox are the big recruiters which visit my college. Placement are good with average package of 1800000 per annum. If someone don't get on campus then cell helps in getting off campus placement. Enormous amd strong alumini network helps in getting off campus placement.

placements are decent as obviously this is an IIT that too top 5 old IIT, roorkee it is average may be around 20 circuital branches getting the average to the higher side which is kinda obvious keeping in mind market

Our college has a very good placement ratio and placement also depends on the economy and industry that year and a lot lf other factor but if you have a CGPA of above 8 you are moat likely to get placed. The highest package ranges from 2-3 crores and average goes around 13lpa. I am currently planning to do an MBA after graduation from a foreign university moat likely Harvard.

From 7th semester the students are eligible for placements. Many Companies like Google, Microsoft, Quantbox, Adobe, JP Morgan come to our college and on an average hire 6-8 students per company. Average packages were around 15 LPA. More than 80% of the students who applied got placed. I will pursue MBA after my degree

Normally for 7 th semester most of the students here will qualify in placements with good packages. There are many international companies like Google , amazon , Schlumberger etc are here to give placements for students. Me after getting the degree definitely I will go to good company which pays me good salary.

I am in my first year so I don't know much about it but as per I listen from my senior is that around 70 to 80 percent students got the placement in civil engineering branch I think thats a very good data as per my expectations

After 6 semester students are eligible. Around 150+companies visited with offers over 500+. Highest package of 1crore and avaerage was 12lakhs in a profile ranging from Tech, meachinacal, civil and consulting. Around 75% students got placement. Just focussing on Job now.

Students have 2 ways to get on-campus placements, first is by getting a PPO after the summer internship which students undertake after completing their 3rd year. A lot variety of companies come for various roles such as software developer, analyst, consultant, technical trainee. The firms such as BCG, JPMC, Goldman Sachs, Amazon, American Express, ITC, HUL offer really good offers. Around 25-30% students overall get summer internships on-campus. The percentage is higher for circuital branches and lower for lower branches. For on-campus placements again a lot of good companies come for similar profiles. Packages as high as 30-40 LPA are offered by some of the big firms. Companies such as Flipkart, Matercard, American Express, Accenture etc offer good packages. Average package is around 13-14 lakhs overall. After the placement season wraps up around 70-75% batch ends up with an offer. I have got an offer from a good MNC and plan to work as an Analyst after my graduation.
