Which is better, Roorkee in chemical or IIT BHU in civil?

IIT Roorkee Chemical Engineering is better than IIT BHU Civil Engineering. It is an old IIT and offers good exposure. The student culture on campus is great. IIT Roorkee placements are good for Chemical Engineering. Each year almost 100% of students get placed from the branch. The average CTC for the branch is around INR 14.5 LPA. While the highest CTC goes up to INR 1.54 Crore per annum.

Should I take Chemical Engineering at IIT Roorkee, ECE at IIT Bhubaneswar or EEE at IIT Mandi ?

Chemical Engineering- IIT Roorkee As per the 2018-19 placements record, more than 250 companies participated in campus placements, some of them were ITC, Reliance, Jindal Steel, TATA, and many more. Chemical Engineering Students at IIT Roorkee recorded an average placement of INR 13.05 lakhs per annum. A total of 8 PPOs were offered to Chemical Engineering students. Roles were offered for Technologist, Researcher, Data Scientist, Data Analyst, Consultant, etc. The placement rate for Chemical Engineering was around 80%. ECE at IIT Bhubaneswar ECE is one of the new branches of IIT Bhubaneswar and was introduced in 2016. Due to this, the first batch to pass out would be the batch of 2020. So there are no past records for this course. However, seeing the trend of placements for electrical engineering, the same can be assumed for ECE as well. In the year 2018-2019, 86% of the Electrical Engineering Department was placed. A total of 75 companies visited the campus and some of the top recruiters were Accenture, Wipro, CISCO, ISRO, CSC India, Siemens to name a few. The average package offered was 13.5 lakhs per annum. Several PPOs were also offered. Considering the placements data, you should choose Chemical Engineering at IIT Roorkee. However, the final decision of which course and college to select rests up to you.

The year wise fee is 293100 rs for general/obc students and for sc/st it is 93100 rs per year. Tution fees is waived off for sc/st which is 200000 rs per year. Total fees include: Hostel fee 30000 Mess fee 55000 Medical insurance 10000 Etc etc There are also scholarships for the one in need like tution fee waiver scheme . In this, The student with family income less than 5 lakh per year can get scholarship for tution fee Family income between 1-5 lakh : 2/3rd tution fee waiver Less than 1 lakh family income : full tution fee waive off. Life at IIT ROORKEE is great

My yearly fees is around 300000 but I got two scholarship in behalf of my parents annual income and my cgpa.so currently inhave to pay only hostel and mess fees. The fees for sc st candidates is totally 0 if they got free messing scheme too.

Life at IIT Roorkee

While studying some courses feel irrelevant with the jobs available.

In IIT Roorkee the fees is 1,38000 rs. Per semester for a normal student but most of the students get relaxation either dur to their caste or their income status . As IIT roorkee provides a lots of scholarship SC/ST students only have to pay 38000 INR. They also provide scholarship like MCM which are based on merit.

Year of Admission: 2021 Category: General EWS Tution Fees: 100000 per semester (2 semester a year) Hostel and Mess Fees: 40000 per semsester Overall estimated fees for 4 years including Misclaneous: 12 Lakh I had not availed any scholarship, However IIT Roorkee Provides scholarships like Merit cum means to the deserving candidates with family income (Mother + Father) lower than 5 lakhs per year. A overall review of IIT Roorkee

The course structure is very well maintained and I think the load is very less because the professor know in the end they will do their work.

I am paying almost 280000 per year in which tution fees is 200000, hostel and food fees 46500 and exams fees and registration fees are 33500. There are a lot of scholarship available like tution fee waiver if your annual income is less than 100000 you will get 100% off in tution fees, and if your annual income in between 1lakh-5 lakh you will get 2/3rd off on your tution fee. Apart from that we have one more scholarship named MCM in which you have to maintain your cg above 7 and your annual income should less than 5 lakhs.

IIT Roorkee Detailed Review

Year wise tuition fee is 200,000 but there are some other charges like insurance , maintenance etc, so total fee to be paid is 221,100. If someone avails hostel and mess facilies , the charges are as follows : Hostel Rent: 10000 per year. Mess Charges: 46500 per year. For SC/ST category , tuition fee is waived . So they only have to pay Hostel and mess charges if they are availing it. Scholarships: Fee waiver is available for GEN/OBC /EWS students having family income <800,000 rupees. 2/3 of total tuition fee is waived if income is between 1lakh and 8lakh . If its less than 1 lakh , the total tuition fee is waived. MCM Scholarship: This scholarship is only available to 25% students having family income less than 8lakh.They get tuition fee waived off and also get 1000 per month for 10 month.

IITs are very considerate with educational opportunities for the less privileged there are ample opportunities and scholarships and fee reduction. for people belonging to economically weaker sections theres 2/3rd fee waivers. students belonging to sc st have full fee reduction
