Companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, udaan come to the campus for the placement and the package is also good. The average package is like 3-4 lakhs per annum and the highest is like 40 lakhs per annum. Students also get a job abroad

There are companies that take people on a big scale which is called mass recruiters like cap gemini and etc . They generally provide a package of 6-7 lakh per anum to an average kid . While the highest package is 25 lakhs per anum for cse . While for biotechies they have to study further in order to get in field placement or they can even go for non-coding or non tech companies .

Campus placements in the campus starts by the end of the third year and continue till the end of the fourth year .Average package is usually 3-4 lakh per annum but can go up to 30 lakh per annum as well. 75% students get placed and rest move on to higher studies .

Placement is nice with 90 percent every year . The average package ranges from 4 to 5 LPA which is pretty decent . Multiple domains of company visit us and hence one has a lot of opportunities to go for.

Good: The place is very fun. The curriculum is really nice and if you put in some effort there's lots of new areas to explore. Lots of different people who have lots of different skills you can learn from or build things together. The place is beautiful too. You will get to learn a lot of new things on your own, just cos of the exposure. Maths classes were great to attend. Great access to cheap and great food. (Once covid restrictions are gone)Bad: Too expensive. You pay nearly 3-4k per semester for exam fee. Hostels have become more expensive as well. 1.3lpa for non AC rooms. A little lower for common bathroom hostels. The faculties are not that great, with few exceptions. SRM doesn't treat its faculty well either, most of them plan to quit. You will experience lot of mismanagement from college when it comes to exams. There's times when nothing has been taught in class but the most difficult exam paper. Some teachers make you do side projects that are totally irrelevant and something a 5th grader could do but you need to buy the hardware. Totally useless. Mostly it'll feel less like an educational institution and more like a business, attractive and all but the agenda is minting money. Hostel wardens are very rude and very sexist and sometimes verbally abusive. Hostel was great place to be in but you will want to leave simply because of how inconvenient they make it. Too many assignments and tests, no time to actually learn. Admission process in my time was to collect your documents, admit card, id proof etc and then attend counselling. Select your branch of choice, some paperwork (they guide you through it), pay the fee in DD (it could be online payment now) get your SRM ID and you're good to go. There's a 5-day orientation process where they just tell you about the college and course. It could be a great college if they'd just paid more attention to the education process along with the fun stuff.

The quality of placements is good in CSE. They have good placement opportunities, mainly in IT and marketing. The average salary package offered is 6-7 LPA. A maximum number of students get their job from the college. It is easy to get placed from here because faculty members teach us very well about corporate.

Almost 80% of the students got placed. The highest salary package offered in our college is 41 LPA. Top recruiting companies in our college are Infosys, TCS, TCS Ninja, Wipro, Amazon and Adobe. Overall, the college is good enough to get a decent job.

The placement percentage of the college is around 95%. The average salary package offered for freshers is 3 LPA. The highest salary package offered can be up to 6 LPA. All interested students get internships in various companies like Wipro, IBM, HCL . Top roles are mostly offered in the research and development wing of industries and PhD supervisor, quality control etc.

From the end of the 3rd year, students start sitting for placements for both internships or campus placements. The big four IT companies — TCS, Infosys, Cognizant and Wipro — have made 4,749 offers to the graduating class of 2020, beating their previous year's combined job offers of 3,020. More than 120 companies have visited the campus this year since the commencement of the placement season on July 22. The percentage of placed students is very high at 95+ the percentage of students placed. Many students like me also plan to pursue higher studies after passing out, both from India and abroad.

SRM placement is very good compared to any other colleges in Chennai because lots of companies are coming to the campus and recruiting the students. Last year Microsoft with 42 lakh package Infosys Wipro and TCS hire the students with the package of 3.5 lacs.
