The college is overall good. Everything is very systematic in our college.
We have students from all the parts of India so it makes the campus and hostel life feel like home away from home. The campus is all green and beautiful.
The teachers and doctors teaching us are highly professional and educated. They are keen to teach from the basics and support you through and through from your personal to professional matters.

Dislikes

Although I am fully satisfied with most of the things my college provides me but I would like to put emphasis on the uncleaned washrooms in our college.

Admission:

The admission is through a single all india exam known as NEET U for mbbs. I was alloted this college according to my merit and priority basis during counselling. I was also alloted Santosh Medical College is round one of All India Medical Counselling but I didn't opt it as I visited the college and its infrastructure was very bad. Also the distance of college from hospital that is needed for learning is at a very great distance making it difficult to manage. The admission process if very smooth via the All India counselling after the NEET UG exam. You have to first be eligible over the cut off to take part in counselling. On merit and priority basis the college is alloted. Then we have to report to the college with original documents and do the necessary document verification and fees submition at the college.

My Life at SRM

Likes

The first thing I liked is the college infrastructure and maintenance
They provide some clubs named dance club, music club, theatre club for students creating a better interaction and a chance to showcasing their skills
Well Educated Faculties and Department Staffs providing a great support for the student needs and developments

Dislikes

Admission:

After completing my UG in Sri Sankara Arts and Science College in Kancheepuram, I decided to join PG in Colleges located in chennai so that I can learn to adapt myself going through different places. I applied for Madras Christian College for MSc Data Science but the seats are already occupied. After I joined this college and the admission staffs managed my application process well created a good experience. I joined through management quota and I am grateful to selecting a right place.

The college atmosphere, the eco-friendly atmosphere, spacious and air conditioned seminar rooms, highly qualified staffs, hi-tech lab facilities, knowledgeable executives, Friendly non teaching staff
Mixed diversity of students, wonderful friends for my life, good cafeteria and restaurants and good premium franchise of food from different places, clean and safe campus, proper hygiene in food, supportive office staffs
Highly Equipped Hospital, proper management, students friendly behaviour of management, involving everyone in sports activities, regular cultural events in a huge level bringing up celebrities from various part of the world to entertain.

Dislikes

Girls ratio was more in my course, Boys ratio was less
Few structure was high, many normal middle class people couldn't afford even my parents made me to study through loan

Admission:

The best choice usually comes down to "The Fit." Beyond just rankings, a student chooses a college because it offers a specific intersection of opportunities that others don't. Academic Synergy: Maybe the college has a specific lab, a niche major, or a "learning by doing" curriculum that aligns with your specific career path. Cultural Alignment: Some students thrive in high-pressure "pressure cooker" environments; others choose schools known for collaboration and community. Location & Network: Choosing a city school for its proximity to Fortune 500 internships versus a rural school for a tight-knit campus community. I chose this college because this college has the best infrastructure, qualified staffs, supportive management, comfortable, eco friendly environment, sure campus opportunities, Equally encouraging sports and cultural events and etc.

Likes

I liked the diversity of students in my college.
I liked the college library, it is huge. It has many books available.
I liked the college ground. I play there whenever I want.

Dislikes

I disliked message food in the college. I am North Indian so I did not like south Indian food.
I disliked some of hostel rules like in time at 7PM for girls.

I did not apply to any other college. No I didn't get any rejection. Admission process of my college is through SRMJEE exam and cut off is around 90%. The students who have passed 12th are eligible for this exam.

A Dive into the life of SRMIST Chennai

Likes

The campus is green, is polution free completely and most importantly is kept clean
The approach to our course is modernized and layed out in a well designed manner
The infrastructure of the college is very good

Admission:

My JEE and other exams didn't go well. Out of all the options that I had remaining, SRM was offering me the best possibility that if I worked hard enough, I can land a job worth the effort and money. People are accepted into SRM via the SRMJEE exam based on their results i.e. their ranks. Courses are restricted to certain ranks i.e. beyond a certain rank you wont be able to choose that particular course. The exams are not too difficult. After the exam if you get selected you have to register for your preferred course and your preferred campus. If accepted you would then begin with the registration process as directed by SRM guidelines

I applied for SRM University and I got addmission in this. I heard from others that this University is famous and well advance in education. No I didn't get rejected from any orher college. Eligibility of SRM University is to score 65% above in 12th.

Likes

Our college has an IT Park and it is one of the best and probably the only college with such facility.
Our professors are prodigies of MIT so one can imagine the kind of tech knowledge they must be having.
Our college students have even designed robots and F1 car.

Dislikes

Innovation centre is the only missing puzzle from an otherwise excellent college.

Admission:

I have JEE and SRM University entrance test as only two option I have myself. Old IITs or the SRM University. Since I couldn't have the required marks in JEE, SRM entrance paved way for me to the university and I took admission here.

Why SRM is better than other collages.

Likes

Needed equal amount of north indian teachers.
They have good social interaction with the students as cultural events.
Very good method of teaching by using ppts and own notes.

Dislikes

Some people are so mean only liked south people.
Good interaction and all are more advantages for south people.
They change the course curriculum without thinking of most of the students and they wont discuss it.

Admission:

I chose this because of good placements and they have average of 7.5 lakhs.Compare to vit vellor or any other collage srm has good placements and good way to explore.To get admission we need to pay 10000 rs to lock the seat and then aftee filling the forms we need to pay hostel and collage fees.

The faculty of SRM University is highly qualified with many holding phds and having solid research or industry experience.
The campus is modern. And well-equipped.the library is huge with digital resources,labs are upto date , classroom are smart-class enabled.
The placement cell is active with many big companies visiting especially for sce and it branches .packages vary but for top performers, opportunities are impressive.

Dislikes

The tuition fees are quite expensive compared to other private collages and on top of that additional charges like hostel,message and lab fees add up.
Sometimes the administration is slow when it comes to document processing, approvals,or resolving student concerns.
While the curriculum is industry -oriented at times it feels too theory heavy or outdated in certain electives.

Admission:

Chose SRM University mainly because of its strong reputation in engineering, excellent infray,and placement opportunities.I has applied to a few other private universities like VIT Vellore and Manipal University.while I did get a confirmed admission from one,i felt SRM had a more vibrant campus life,better connectivity to Chennai City, and a strong alumni network. The diverse crowd and exposure to students from accross india and abroad also influenced my decision.

Had better placement opportunity than any other colleges around the Delhi NCR region (talking about the tier 3 colleges)

Dislikes

College experience would be ruined because there is no infrastructure and the college does not support any extra curricular activities as much it would be supported

Admission:

I choose this college because it had a great placement record than any other tier 3 college in the NCR region. So the main motive to join the college was just for the placements after all we all join the college mainly for the placements. But now a days the placements are worst not only in this college but all over the other colleges as well but it still delivers better than others

SRMJEEE 2024 will be conducted from April 20, 2024, to April 22, 2024. The last date to apply for SRMJEEE 2024 is April 13, 2024 (Phase 1) with an application fee of INR 1,200. Interested candidates can apply on the official website. Admission to all Engineering and Management courses is based on SRMJEEE and SRMJEEM scores.
