The NMAT 2025 Exam Notification has been released. The NMAT 2025 Exam will be conducted from 5th November to 19th December 2025. The NMAT 2025 Registration has started from 1st August 2025 and will continue till 14th October 2025.
- The GMAC will conduct the NMAT Exam in a CBT Mode. The candidates can give the exam online, proctored from home, or from the allotted exam centres, which are more than 76 Exam Centres across 73 Cities in India.
- The Candidates are allowed to attempt the NMAT Exam up to 3 times, 1 initial attempt along with 2 optional retakes in the exam window. Registration will be done separately for each retake.
- The NMAT Exam is accepted by more than 50+ B-Schools in India and globally, including top institutes like NMIMS Mumbai, XIMB, K.J Somaiya, TAPMI and IBS Hyderabad. The Total seats offered by NMAT for MBA/PGDM are expected to be around 8,000 to 10,000.
The NMAT Exam will be divided into 3 Different Sections: Language Skills, Quantitative Skills, and Logical Reasoning, with 36 questions in each section, which makes 108 questions to be attempted in 120 Minutes, making a total of 360 Marks.

Ans. No, IIMs don’t accept NMAT scores. To apply to any IIM, a candidate needs to take the CAT (Common Admission Test). CLAT is conducted by the IIMs themselves.
NMAT is still accepted by a bunch of reputed b-schools like NMIMS, TAPMI, K J Somaiya, XIM Bhubaneswar, SDA Bocconi Asia Center and more. It’s also recognised by several universities abroad especially in South Africa, the Philippines and Nigeria.
Ques. What’s the NMAT 2025 cutoff for TAPMI?
Ans. TAPMI doesn’t officially declare a fixed NMAT cutoff. But going by trends, if a candidate’s score is between 210 and 220, they have a solid shot at being shortlisted.
But if the score is low TAPMI looks at more than just your test score. They consider your academics, work experience and performance in interviews or group discussions too.
Ques. Does NMAT have a percentile or PR score?
Ans. Not exactly. NMAT doesn’t use a percentile system like CAT or XAT. Instead, the candidate's final result is based on a scaled score. That’s what matters for most colleges.
Some b-schools might internally convert NMAT scores into percentiles for their own use, but they rarely publish that data. In general, a score above 240–250 puts a candidate in the top bracket, and 220–230 is usually enough to get shortlisted by several top colleges.
Ques. Which college is better: TAPMI or NMIMS?
Ans. Both are excellent b-schools, but the better one for you depends on what you're looking for.
NMIMS (Mumbai) has the edge in terms of brand value, placement stats and corporate exposure. It’s known for its MBA Core, as well as niche programs like Pharma Management and Business Analytics.
TAPMI, on the other hand, stands out for its academic depth, smaller batch sizes and global AACSB accreditation. It’s also well-respected for HR, Marketing and BFSI programs. And its PGDM courses are AICTE-approved.
So, if you're after location advantage, a big alumni network and diverse specialisation options, NMIMS is probably the better pick. But if you value close-knit learning, rigorous academics and global credibility, TAPMI could be a fantastic fit.
