SRM University Chennai Campus is spread over 250+ acres and has a total of six campuses offering UG, PG and Doctoral programs in the fields of Engineering & Technology, Management, Medicine & Health Sciences, Science & Humanities, Law and Agricultural Sciences. Admission to all the courses is based on the entrance examinations. SRM University Chennai courses are approved by AICTE and UGC.
- Admission to flagship Engineering and Management courses is based on SRMJEEE and SRMJEEM scores.

Srm university admissions are based in 12 marks but admissions are easily processed,this university was tamilnadu 3 place so I choosing this college.
Likes
- SRM university has the world class facilities and good infrastructures with AC classrooms and a decent library and skilled faculties and staff to help students get a better education in their own class and to make the most out there and get the most
- The canteen and availablity of everything that was in it is the best place in town to eat in a day ,with more than 50 plus shops and alps located with shuttle bus facilities
Dislikes
- Some of the classes the AC is not working
- Some of the maintainers are not responsible for the missing properties of students
Admission:
The college I've applied for other than Srm is vit ( vellore institute of science and technology) which is almost similar to that of srm university both are major deemed private universities of India which they are famous for their placement schemes and the fun activities and events they're conducting in the university
Likes
- The research programs are really good here if you can get into one in first year just grab it
- The merit based scholarships are the best which you can get easily bcz the ecam is online
Dislikes
- The fees is on the higher end for the core courses

I got admission in VIT chennai and MIT Manipal but looking into the curriculum i found that the research opportunities here are better than other colleges and it has got goverment funded research and professors with research opportunities for abroad too
Likes
- a good gender ratio aproxx in my class it is 9:5 which is quite good and talking about diversity it is very diverse with people across country in one class with international student in campus
- campus is lush green and near nature with good weather most time of day unlike main city
Dislikes
- the thing i dont like are less but one thing is very few classes are quite far from hostel like a kilometer away
- at peak time student un wantingly have to use stair for top floors reason being overcrowded lift
Admission:
i choose SRM KTR over other was because of name and its increasing NIRF ranking it have a good enviorment for personal growth along with good acadmeic background which drew me here which compared to ther college is quite good here. i applied for VITEEE, MANIPAL, and many other pvt college but the factor mention above draw me here. i got lower branch in pvt college like BITS which was reason i didnt go there admission process is easy here student have to give SRMJEEE through which they get into SRM which is a online proctored exam, it happen in 2 phases where 1st phase is easy and cuttoff is also low compared to phase 2 where cuttoff is high.

- The placement where college is located and the rechability
- The management faculty is very helpful and supportive
Dislikes
- The staff of collage is rude and very poor behaviour
- The exam level scholarship taking is very hard

The college is very good with the fees is very low and the fees is affordable. I earlier applied for the ICFAI university but the university is located in vary off area but SRM College is located near the national highway and reachable The admission process of the college is very easy where we have to submit the form and wait for the confirmation call

- Campus life is pretty good as it is having a please environment and a large campus area
- The courses and curriculum is also pretty good as it provides every resources required.
Dislikes
- The fees structure is slight high compared to other colleges
- Intake of students are increasing rapidly evey year creating a over population

I didn't applied to any other college , I preferred srm as it had a pretty good NIRF ranking better than some NITs and IITs and now the ranking has even increased to 12 which is best for a private university. Also it had much better placement records

- I like placement and internships that are provided by the institution.
Dislikes
- I dislike the fact the college starts at 8am and ends at 5am.
Admission:
I applied to sathyabama college and got a course not of my interest. But still I chose SRM over sathyabama since the placement percentage of SRM is higher than that of sathyabama. To get a engineering seat in SRM one write the online entrance exam and there is no other way to get a seat in SRM.

- If every other state students doesn't see partiality among other state students.The environment will be good.
- I'm very much engaged with my own language people than other language peers
Dislikes
- Students showing partiality among different states..This really make me uncomfortable...If everyone behave like everyone are same..It might be a good change there
- Class timings are so disturbing for the students including me...The first class starts at 8..if the timings change to 9 and above it may be helpful dor the students to take rest

To be honest...I was not sure abt joining this university. I was waiting to join other colleges...but my grade was not that much better to chose my interested course there..and I visualized into SRM university...and they got lot of packages ..And that's why I joined here.

- I dislike the functioning time of college which is from 8am to 5pm
Admission:
I had also applied for VIT but I didn't get the course of my interest. So I had to opt out. But in SRM I scored well in the entrance examination and got the course of my interest which made me join in SRM. The admission for engineering in SRM is done through online examinations. Lesser the rank one gets the more he/she has the chance to get the course of their choice. The rank of this examinations is only considered. One must have passed in 12th and take up the online entrance exam for engineering of SRM in order to get a seat in SRM.

- College infrastructure is quite good calm pleasant environment
- People from different areas will visit here hence most festivals are also celebrated
Dislikes
- Location of the college is bad as it is not placed near main
- Transport to reach college is also quite hard as it's away from main
Admission:
First think is how free the rules are as we can't be in a environment where everything is strict and jailed. And the college tells that they have a good placement but I wasn't lucked to get one and most people in our class too. Here there are more number of extracurricular activities which will boost the students talent as well motivated them.

Admission to MBA course at SRM University Chennai is done based on CAT/CMAT/GMAT which is about to be scheduled in November 2024 only and admission will begin post that.
Yes, SRM University accepts the valid scores of TANCET examination. It accepts the scores for providing admissions to the MBA course. Instead of TANCET, it also accepts the scores of CAT, GMAT, CMAT for providing admissions. SRM also considers the marks of graduation level examination along with entrance examination for providing final admission.
No, generally you can get admission based on entrance exam only and its score. However, you can also get admission based on management quota and you can contact the college for the same at: 044 2745 4646.
