Ques. Does Amrita University Coimbatore provide scholarships for M.Tech?
Ans. Yes. Amrita University provides scholarships for GATE qualified candidates. As per the norms of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), all the GATE qualified candidates receive a Post Graduate Scholarship of INR 12,400/- per month through its Post Graduate Scholarship Scheme for full time GATE qualified students admitted to AICTE approved programs, All the M. Tech. Programs of Amrita University are approved by AICTE for GATE scholarships. Students can avail scholarships worth INR 1 LPA, for M.Tech programs and additional scholarships of INR 10 Lakhs per student on joining integrated M.Tech and PhD courses. Highly motivated students are also given ample opportunities to pursue dual degree programs with universities in Europe, US and Australia. The university provides scholarships to Non Gate candidates as well. Students possessing a CGPA above 8 in B.Tech are awarded with INR 5,000 per month, whlle scoring a CGPA between 7 and 8 ensures a monthly amount of INR 2,500. These scholarships are awarded for 5 months in the first semester of M.Tech and thieir continuation in subsequent years is subject to reevaluation of the academic performance of the awardee.

Ans. Amrita University hostels have separate hostels for girls and boys. First-year students generally share rooms, while final-year and PG students may be provided with single rooms. Rooms have basic facilities in the form of a bed, table, chair, and cupboard. The accommodation is vegetarian and the cooking is done in clean kitchens. Wi-Fi is provided in the hostels along with hot water and laundry facilities. Gyms and games facilities are also provided. Some rules apply—such as no drinking or smoking and returning to the accomodations within the specified time. The newer hostels are better than the older once in terms of comfort and facilities. Overall, the accomodations are good for staying and experiencing campus life.

BTech, MTech, and MBA are the three most popular courses at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. Candidates seeking admission to the BTech program must appear for the JEE Main or AEEE entrance exam. Admissions to the MTech program are offered on the basis of GATE/PGCET/ TANCET/PGECET scores. MBA admissions are based on the CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/GMAT/ GRE scores
The entrance exam for AVV Coimbatore admission will be conducted by April 11th 2024.

The entrance exams for all the courses at AVV Coimbatore has already been over except for MBA i.e XAT/CAT exam will be conducted in November 2023.
The minimum required percentage for MBA in Amritha Vishwa Vidyapeetham is 50%.
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham does offer Arts and Science subjects to the students. The university offers BA English under Arts and B.Sc. + M.Sc. Chemistry under Science to the students.
