Honest review of SRM Delhi-Ncr Campus.

Likes

The atmosphere, culture and environment inside the campus is very impressive and as well as comfortable for the new comers.
The teaching quality is very high and impressive, all the teachers are highly educated and every teacher is phd or master degree holder.
The infrastructure and especially the famous library of the SRM is well known and second to none in the India and provides good number of opportunities for internships and placements.

Dislikes

Firstly and popular reason is the amount of fee which can be reduced so more excellent students can learn skills and showcase in this world.
There are some curriculum subjects which do need to be there like biology, sustainable energy and more like this which took time from the 24hours of a student and inspite of these some technical skills or training can be include.
The behaviour of administration can be rude sometimes not the teachers but the non- teaching staff like exam cell officers they do not talk and behave polietly.

Students view on course curriculum

I took cyber security as a specialisation because of the requirement of security our data centric world need, the number of cyber crimes are increasing very speedly day by day and this is the major threat and problem in today's world so we should be trained to tackle them. The curriculum of SRM is fine. It includes the core subjects as well as some basics of programming languages but for the industry level student have to prepare himself on his own to be stand out from others in this competetive field. Some more technical skills related subjects or trainings can be added in the course curriculum to make more industry level ready professionals and the teaching methods can be little bit more innovative and teachers should share their work experience in the industry as well as they should find or create more knowledgeable way to make students understand their concepts. The examinations take place well on time and the difficulty level is medium so it is not hard to score good grades.

Internship and project opportunity in various organization

After the completion of 5th semester the student will be eligble for the campus internship oppotunities and very high number of companies visits the campus for the recruitment companies like microsoft, amazon, cred, juspay, paypal, Zs associates, phillips etc came here for the roles of SDE, graduate engineer trainee, System Engineer etc. It includes minor and major as well which are commonly research based, and the projects helps the students to make them in shortlist for the next round of the compaines.

Placement scenario in campus , highest and average package and various roles being offered

After the completion of 5th semester students become eligible for campus placements and internships. Many companies have visited the campus for recruitment only quiet a few of them have not been made any offer like mckinley rice is a company in my knowledge which did not made any offer even after taking exams. The highest package has gone this year is 40lpa and the average package of this year has been around 5-6lpa which is good for fresher according to me but it can be better based on student's performance. And various profiles and job roles have been offered like SDE, Data analyst, Data scientist, Frontend Developer, Backend Developer, Business Analyst, System Engineer, Gradtuate engineer trainee etc. According to the market conditions the percentage of students getting placements differs every year this year this percentage comes some down like previous year if the percentage was 80% so this year is 65-70%. My plans will be depends on how i find my self at that time in which state of mind when i will get the degree.

Fees of the course per year and scholarship available in the college

I paid Rs.2,21,000/- for the first year of B.tech computer science and engineering with specialsation in cyber security from SRMIST Delhi-Ncr campus as it included Rs.2,00,000/- for tuition fee, Rs.10000/- for extra curricular activities across four year course (non-refundable), Rs.10000/- for One time registration amount (non-refundable), Rs.1000/- for security deposit(refundable). This Rs. 21,000/- have been paid only once not every year. The tuition fee for all four years which i have paid Rs.2,00,000/- per year. Other than this i just pay exam fee of every semester before the exams it cost less than Rs.5000/-. Other than this i did not pay a single penny for anything in four years. This fee structure was for all the branches and specialisation for B.Tech at the year 2021 in which i took admission in SRM. For the current fee structure you can visit the official website of SRM or college duniya and then you can analyse the growth in fee as year changed. If you appeared in srmjee and ranked among top 500 students then you will be offerd SRM scholarship which can be 50% of tuition fee. And also while studying there if you are among the toppers then also you will be offered Rs.30,000/- as scholarship.

Events organized, clubs and facilities available in the campus

The annual festival of the SRM is "Rubaroo" which is a very grand annual festival which basically take place for two days and mainly occurs in march or april. Every day a famous artist came to college and gave performances, last year rapper "Mcsquare" performed in the "Rubaroo". It was fun to attend these type of festivals because it refreshes the mood and mind of the student which are constant surrounded by acadmic subjects and also these type of festivals inlcudes many type of competitions like technical or for entertainment purposes. The technical festival of SRM is "Innovate" which is a very highly competitive national level technial fest and participants from across the country came here and participates in these various technical competitions. The library of SRM is very famous in the region for it's area, infrastructure, quality of popular journals, and thousands of books in the library. SRM also has it's E-Library. All the classes are AC and many of them have the projector installed and all the classes or lecture halls have the facility of Smart-boards. Sports of the college are very good, SRM has many fantastic grounds for football, cricket, vollyball and basket ball courts, indoor games like chess, table tennis etc. The extra curricular activities of the college are very good it inlcudes dance club, music club, yoga club, fashion club, nukkad-natak society, technical club etc. These are very good for making the environment of college very friendly and fantastic also the culture of this college is beautiful.

Students view on faculties and examination of the college

There is 1 teacher on every 60 students and the relationship between student and faculties are very good all behave very well and polietly also some of the faculties assess the students individually. I liked Nishant Anand sir, Karthik sir, Lalit sir and many more the best among these is Nishant Anand sir because of his real time examples and creative teaching style which helped me alot to keep the concept remember for a long time. Every month of every semester i gave Cycle Tets and 3 cycle tests happend in a semester which consist 50% marks considerd as internal examinations marks for final result of the semester. And the rest of 50% marks have been gatherd through the theory university external examinations it happends only one time at the end of the semester.

Admission process and eligibility criteria

I have also applied through JEE Mains in several colleges like Galgotias, GL.Bajaj, Kiet etc. of Abdul Kalam Technical University Lucknow before taking admission in SRM Delhi-Ncr Campus. And also got the admission offer but back in 2021 the covid effected year all these colleges were having very late admission process. I live only 20 minutes away from SRM Delhi-Ncr campus so it is very easy for me to catch the early morning lectures on time as well as i do not have to pay for transportation fee and hostel fee but if i choosed to take admission in Galgotias or GL. Bajaj so i had to pay the hostel fee so with tuition fee these colleges will also cost me almost same like SRM but i have done a campus visit in those colleges there is no comparison of these colleges with SRM. SRM has better labs, library, teachers and infrastructure as well as the location SRM's Location saves my lot of time. Admission process of college can be explained as if you have minimum 80% in 12th so you may be get direct admission in SRM other than this if you have good score in JEE Mains so you can apply for the admission in SRM and other than this SRM conducts it's own Entrance Exam named as SRMJEE. So these are the ways to get the admission in SRM Institute of science and technology.

Night Life

The SRM Delhi-Ncr campus have gym which is only for the students who are living in hostels and it opens in morning and in evening and have good gym equipments. Campus have cafeterias which are little bit costly as compared to outside shops and cafeterias and also the food does not define it's cost. Library opens at 09:00am in the morning and opens for all the students it has digital verification entry gates students have to first register in library with their Identity Card and then they will be able to enter in the library after scanning the unique barcode displayed in their Identity card. Provide different workshops and opportunities. Organise many hackathons and group events.

No infrastructure like study rooms while library is only open during college times due to which i cant reach and study in library due to my ongoing lectures.

I applied to kiet , srm (this) , vit. The reason for selecting this college is that my relatives got high package job through it and also that i couldnt cleared some college exams like vit and other top exams like jee. I always want to do cse which i was not able to get in many good colleges so i have to choose from some low tier ones. Thats why i choosed this college. The srm helds SRMJEEE as enteance exam which provides scholarships too. After clearing it you must have minimum 60 % marks in boards (12th). The admission experience is not much good and lack transparency, you needd to ask each thing from faculty.

Girls to Boys ratio is 2:5, There are students from all over Delhi - NCR and other states as well, thus promoting a comprehensive culture within the college.

Admission:

For admission in SRMIST, you must either give the SRMJEEE exam, or should have appeared in the JEE Mains exam. Percentage more than 60% in 10th, 12th is often necessary depending on the course and admission rate.

the things that I personally dislike is the timing of this college. Classes starts from 9:20 am and ends at 4:00 pm, which makes it too tough for us to do our personal works.
The criteria of 75% attendance is one of the worst thing in this college.
The lunch break is just for 40 minutes, which is too bad for students and their health also.

Admission:

This college focuses on practicals, rather than just theories. There are many other courses also which are there for students for free. Trainers comes from outside of the campus for workshops. This thing makes it standout of the league. this college is good for the students who actually want to study. As compared to the other college, this is very good college in terms of skill developments and placements programs. I didn't got regected from other college. actually there were some colleges in my list that I shortlisted. this college was at the top. this college is one of the best college in this area. So, that's why, I prefered this college. Admission process in this college is too simple. just apply for SRMJEEE and face the exam. If you cleared it, you will be selected in this college. The cutoffs varies year to year. Student must scored atleast 60% in 10th board examination and 60% in 12th board examination to apply in this college. My overall experience was good as the councilers were too good

The labs are well made, and they also have maclabs

If you use bus to come and get late and tell to teachers they still don't give attendance
Classroom benches is not good as they are dirty

For admission you have to give srmjee test and If u get rank less than 500 then u get scholarship too and good campus with cse branch

I applied for KIET, ABESIT, JIIT I was getting confirmed admission in all the colleges i wanted to get admission JIIT but i was not getting CSE CORE there which was my priority so didn't make there as the cut off was really high there . I was getting CSE CORE easily here So i choose this college Eligibilty is SRMJEEE score. Once you got shortlisted then counselling happen then you got admission as per your rank here..

Admission:

Other colleges I applied are MM college CCS University, KN Miet and IP University. I choose this college over the others because I don't want to go far from my city and this is the only college that fulfilling my requirement. The process of admission is give PI and than you are shortlist. For BBA you have to pass 12th with 60% above in both 10th and 12th. Overall admission experience is decent .

The crowd is decent here. You'll get both some who are good in study some not so good but overall the crowd is good
The university is serious when it comes to academics. This can be a negative part for some but positive for some.

Dislikes

The college is strict when it comes for academics. It feels sometimes you're in school.

Admission:

The eligibility of the course if you have to get 60% marks in 12th in pcm aggregate. Then you'll have to give it's entrance test i.e SRMJEE. In that by the rank you scored you'll have to go for choice filling. The cutoff for cse if somewhere upto 2500 for combined campus. The one thing I didn't liked was that in the choice filling you'll get only one option for campus and course. Whereas in other colleges you get more options.

The infrastacture of the college is decent. All the neccessitites and basic ammenities are available in the campus.

Dislikes

Restrictions are there inside the college campus. Hostelers cannot walk around the campus after 7:30 in the evening. They need to be in their respective hostels after that.
College crowd is mediocre. Though you can still find like minded people.

Yes, B.Pharm admissions are still open for Chennai and Delhi–NCR campuses. SRM University admits candidates through the merit of the qualifying exam and also on the basis of scores of the entrance exam. Admission is primarily offered through online mode against the payment of INR 1,100 for the Application form fee, which is non-refundable. Students can also opt for the offline mode by visiting the campus. Candidates can apply for admission at SRM University online by following the steps mentioned below:

Visit the Admission section on the SRM University website.
Select the desired course.
Fill in the Admission Application Form with personal, academic, and contact details.
Also, upload the required documents including the 10th mark sheet & certificate, 12th mark sheet & certificate, Aadhar Card of the candidate and the parent, and a cancelled cheque. 2 passport-size photographs are also required.
Pay the application fee and tuition fee using a Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or Bank Transfer.
