Remarks
Being a well known private college in India, I chose it because it is a good college for students who could not get into national government colleges. And its fees are not very high as some of its private counterparts. The admission process was smooth and short.
Course Curriculum Overview
Not getting CSE, I chose a course similar to it, that is Electronics and Computer Engineering under the ECE dept, whose benefit is that it opens opportunities for future in both the fields of electronics engineering as well as computer engineering. Each section of my branch has around 70 students and there are about 10 sections and the faculty-student ratio is decent. Qualifications of faculty vary largely, but most have atleast a qualification up to the master's degree, while some are very accomplished with big credits and degrees to their name. Exams take place in a routinely way. Ct1, ct2, ct3 and then semester exam. Each with a gap of about 1 and a half month.
Placement Experience
From the end of the 3rd year, students start sitting for placements for both internships or campus placements. The big four IT companies — TCS, Infosys, Cognizant and Wipro — have made 4,749 offers to the graduating class of 2020, beating their previous year's combined job offers of 3,020. More than 120 companies have visited the campus this year since the commencement of the placement season on July 22. The percentage of placed students is very high at 95+ the percentage of students placed. Many students like me also plan to pursue higher studies after passing out, both from India and abroad.
Fees and Financial Aid
My basic tuition fees are 2.5 lacs and there are few extra expenses. And hostel fees varies with options, starting from 1 lakh a year. Scholarships are provided based on the semester performance of students, the top few students of a branch receiving it.
Campus Life
Multiple fests, both cultural and tech, take place over the year, with the main annual fest being Aarush, which is widely known among the college fests circuits throughout the country. There's no lacking of amenities or Co curricula. The a huge number of clubs and social groups to choose from to be part of. Massive library with a very efficient system.
Hostel Facilities
Very basic room, 3 sharing, decent for the price paid. Meal quality is average, depending on the taste and adaptability of students which is varying. Various options for hostel rooms are available, prices ranging from 1 lacs to 3 lacs per year. Rooms are to be booked at the beginning of every session.
