SRM OR VIT ???

As we all know that the colleges of south india are believed to provide better education facilities. SRM KTR is the main campus and has the biggest laboratries as compared to other colleges . The labs for biotechnology are 50% funded by the government of india and the faculties also provide study abroad oppurtunities. Hence i chose SRM ktr . The fests which are milan and aaruush , provide lot of public exposure that gives you chance you jot down your contribution in your resume . It is situated in the outskirts of Chennai and is pollution free, also there are various places to visit on weekends along with your friends and how can I forget the auspicious organization of SRMNCC . SRMNCC is different from any other college and gives you so much opportunity that I can't explain in words. It makes you tougher, bolder and unique from anyone.

Course curriculum.is really easy as it has been changed recently according to UGC guidelines. You have a cycle test each in a month and then models examinations which are followed by university examinations . Its really easy to score nicely if you do well in all the cycle tests .

It is said to have at least 2 internships before you sit for placements but you can do even more if you want. Companies that come for placements expect to have more internships in order to be an asset for their company in terms of hard work and experience. You can consult your respective faculties or faculty advisor for internship advice and place of work.

There are companies that take people on a big scale which is called mass recruiters like cap gemini and etc . They generally provide a package of 6-7 lakh per anum to an average kid . While the highest package is 25 lakhs per anum for cse . While for biotechies they have to study further in order to get in field placement or they can even go for non-coding or non tech companies .

Fee structure for b.tch in biotech is 2.5 lakhs and 1.5 lakh is the hostel fee for non ac rooms and 2.5 lakh for ac air conditioned rooms . Cse students have 3.5 lakh of tution fees which is reduced to 2.5 lakh if you do well in entrance exams . Scholarships are added every year to give change and motivate each individual . If your gpa is above 9.5 in all semester , you get 50,000 or more off on your tution fees

There are basically two fests organized by SRM every year . First is tech fest which is aaruush , conducted in around september . As mentioned above it is tech fest , individual get open hands experience on several workshops conducted in campus like mechanical work and generation of BMW and etc . Another is milan fest which is a cultural fest , it includes various night life performance by many celebrities for around 4 days. Teams are divided and committiees are made in which several domains are decided and student work accordingly .

Hostels are nice and surprisingly hostel food is awesome . I stayed in kalpana chawla hostel which has ac rooms and the cost was 2 lakh , it is only for 1sy years girls . They have a decided menu on which they provide food and south indian is served on daily basis , but on other corner we have stall for north indian food which serves tasty daal makhni , chola bhatoora and etc . We are provided with breakfast in morning from 7-9 am then we have lunch at 12-2 pm , evening snacks at 4-5:30 and finally dinner at 7-9 pm . In breakfast they include coffee tea bread and eggs butter and jam , dosa sambhar and idli along with chutney .on other days they provide poha , subji poori and etc north indian food .
