Ques: What are the tips to fill choices in JoSAA Counselling?
Ans: Candidates applying for JoSAA Counselling can follow the following simple tips for an easy and hassle-free process,
- Do Some Homework: The best course of action is to look into every college that is open to students at your rank, make a shortlist of the colleges that you believe would be best for you, and then get in touch with your seniors if you can't decide between any of the colleges. Your choice will be much more accurate and definitive in this manner.
- Don’t Run for CSE Exclusively: Although there is a lot of demand for CSE these days, you should first consider whether or not you are truly interested in it. It might be advisable to drop it if the answer is negative. A person's mental peace is just as vital as their financial situation, and doing something you dislike will never work out in the long run.
- Maintain a Balance Between Branch and Colleges: It doesn't make sense to run solely for a specific branch or college. You ought to make an effort to keep the two in appropriate proportion. For example, if you have no particular interest in any branch and your CRL is 2400, it makes little sense to enrol in IITB Civil just because it has the IITB brand. Selecting IITR Applied Maths or CSE at IIT Mandi is the better option. Branch and college should be well balanced; neither is more important than the other.
- Go for CSAB Rounds: The CSAB rounds are the most unique round and it has happened numerous times, where students have been given XYZ choices they never would have imagined during counselling. As a result, you can also give the CSAB rounds a shot.

Ques: Is a migration certificate required during JoSAA Counselling?
Ans: Yes, migration certificates are essential during JoSAA Counselling if candidates are taking admission in another state.

Ques: Why do candidates withdraw their seats in JoSAA Counselling?
Ans: Candidates despite clearing the JEE Mains with flying colours and getting offers from top NITs and IIITs still choose to drop out majorly to focus on their dreams and their liking for any particular subject. Several candidates did not like Physics and Chemistry but loved Mathematics. Instead of securing admissions to IIITs and NITs, they chose to get admitted to ISI and pursued Statistics.
