The clubs and societies of the college like enactus
The like minded crowd of venky is the best thing
The canteen food is super tasty and clean mess area

Dislikes

I love the faculty so much, lovely professor
IM IN LOVE WITH VENKY FEAST NEXUS, LOVE LOVE
The ground is massive in area, can't handle the beauty of it

Placement Experience:

The placement cell is very fair and shows equal opportunity for all the courses and never ever disapointed us in a manner that we will go unplaced by the college, they will support us in bad time as well, the average package of the colege is even 7 lakhs and highest is 50 lakhs.

I really liked how the environment of the college is, people are from all different backgrounds of India expressing multiple cultures and characteristics
I also like the area the college is in, nearby to local shops and accessibility is also good due to a metro station nearby
The faculty of the college is really good, being highly professional and experienced in teaching

Dislikes

The time table for my course lacks productivity due to long breaks between classes, overall reducing the productive time of the day

Placement Experience:

There are good placements in college by the dedicated cell called the placement cell. It connects students and companies for placement opportunities. Almost all courses have the availability to apply for different placements

Likes

the experience has been really satisfactory so far it is what i expected it to be, infrastructure is one of the best in delhi university faculty here is nice as well all teachers have PhDs.
Societies are fairly active but not as renowned as north campus colleges due it being a relatively new college.
Economics Honours is the top course offered by Delhi University, It is quite in depth and rigorous which is what i expected

Dislikes

Teachers can be a bit strict sometimes and non cooperative but i guess thats with every other college in DU
Campus maintanence is decent at best, it can be a whole lot better.
Location is the biggest drawback and the lack of PG facilities sucks this is mainly the reason why South Campus colleges are not as well regarded as the north cluster

placmements season happens in the fourth-fifth semester and placements here is average at best nothing special nothing bad just mediocore big names come here such has deloitte kpmg ey de shaw and bain bcg too.

Our College

Likes

The college environment is conducive and provide ample opportunities to students.
The girls to boys ratio is quite fair and appropriate.
The professors are skilled and highly qualified.

Dislikes

Sometimes their is problem of cleanliness in the college canteen.
The way of teaching should be improved by including experiential learning.
The college infrastructure causes problem during rainy days.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible fir internships from first semester while for placements they can sit from 3 rd year. Companies that vusited college include - Delloitte, KPMG, PwC, EY, Bain Capability Network. Highest package was 21.50LPA and Average package - 5.53 LPA.

Theory with Scope

Likes

The affordability and diversity among students
Opportunities and exposure provided by the college
Providing internship opportunities on a large scale

Dislikes

Teaching faculty (some teachers do not know how to teach)
Inconsiderate towards students (very few holidays are given and there is a lot of burden due to unnecessary subjects like SEC, VAC, AEC etc

The college provides limited but gradually improving internship opportunities. Students become eligible for campus placements in their 3rd and 4th year. While placements are not the primary focus of the course, the college provides basic support throufh placement cells, career guidance sessions, and internship related assistance

Likes

The timetable of the college is very effective and classes gets cancelled very rarely.
Canteen is the best thing i like in the college , it offers varoius food items at a very cheap price and very hygienic.

Dislikes

Classrooms are still old fashioned, it needs to be improved to smart classes .
Most of the faculty is from south and southwestern region which makes their accent difficult to underst.
Attendance is also very strict which makes it difficult to focus on extracurricular activities.

From 5th sem a student gets eligible to get placed . Various companies like ey , delloite , kpmg , bain , goldman sachs come to our college . The avearge package is 600000 and the highest is 1400000 . Last year a total of 143 students got placed from our college . My plan after getting degree is to get a good placement .

The infrastructure of my college is extremely beautiful. We have pretty gardens like the rock garden, the botany garden and a huge field with a view of the metro station. The canteen and the maggi point are also great spots
The faculty is amazing, all our professors have great experience and are experts in their respective fields
The crowd and networking opportunities are great. There is a plethora of societies, clubs and events that take place on campus.

Dislikes

The attendance system of being debarred from exams for not having a certain percentage of attendance bothers students, especially students who are part of electives and societies and have side hustles which they manage alongside college
The classes can be more interactive and could encourage student participation with more activities to learn rather than just lectures

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is extremely relevant to the course, when I chose my course as economics honours this sort of rigour, mathematics and critical thinking is exactly what I expected and also wanted. It prepares me to take on various opportunities and expands my options to more than just economics. It gives me knowledge on how markets work, and deeper insights into topics such as inflation, GDP, balance of payments which are basic but crucial for understanding the subject and looking at the world with the eyes of an economist

Washrooms in old arts block could be better
Better sports equipment could be available to borrow

My course bachelor of arts in economics is considered to be quite a rigorous course but it is very well planned as we copy it from the london school of economics which is top tier hence better renown curriculum prepares us well for real world and improvement could be done having more practical experiences timing of exams is very bad at end of year

The overall crowd, since its one of the well known colleges of du, the crowd seems great and being the most famous college of south campus the campus life is great
The faculty is well trained since its one of fhe prestigious college of du
The infrastructure is nice, new buildings where our classes take place is good

Dislikes

The time table is very tiering since we have classes from 9-5 3 days a week and rest of the week no classes take place creating no balance
The infrastructure for summers is not nice
The attendance criteria is very rigoureus

The average package is 120000 which is pretty good after bachelors degree and placement is pretty good. Percentage of stidents getting placed is somewhere between 30-60% .companies like BAIN etc visit and hire students. My plans after getting a degree is to apply for masters

My cousin was a student of Mathematics at Sri Venkateswara College. Based on her experience in the same I will list down some key features of the college:

Faculty- The faculty of this college is without that the best. The professors of Mathematics and even other courses will make you fall in love with the subject. Just stay committed to your course.
Infrastructure- Since you will spend a few years in college, infrastructure matters a lot. Classrooms are well-designed and laboratories are well-equipped. Hostel accommodation is provided for the topper of each course. A new science block is being constructed to add to its infrastructure.
Extracurricular activities- If you are a student here, you will get enough exposure to develop your personality. Apart from academics, this college has a list of glamour studded societies in every field.
Placements- The science students get lesser opportunities as compared to others. A package of around 5-6 LPA is offered to Economic students.
Nexus- This is the most awaited cultural fest of the college. It’s a 3-day fest with a list of versatile activities. It’s the most glamorous event in the college.
Sports- The college has a lush green field with a modern cricket pitch. It also has teams in almost every game like Cricket, Football, Badminton, Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, Chess, Athletics, Squash.
