I want to pursue a B.Pharma and Biochem is my backup, so when I didn't get pharma then I chose biochem. The faculty-to-student ratio is around 1:5 for my batch. All faculties are Ph.D. and some of them have 30+ years of teaching, while some joined last year and some also do their own research. The exams were after mid-semester and happened for a week. Some exams are intermediate whereas some are too tough. But the end-sem exams are at the intermediate level.
Faculty members of Sri Venkateswara college are very supportive and helpful. As I have a special interest in biochemistry subject they helped me to gain more interest. The teaching staff is very very good at Sri Venkateswara college.
I am damn sure, to be a scientist in the field of physiology. Faculty:student = 1:12. All the teachers are masters in their field, they all are PhD holders from recognized universities. They are always used to teach to make us imagine and visualization of concepts. Chalk and blackboard, PowerPoint presentation, 3-d models, field trip (for hands on experience) etc. methods are involved. For practising and learning concepts, teachers take the surprised and preplanned test, randomly around every week. And by the university, the examinations are held every semester (after 6 months). The exams by teachers are tough (because of analytical questions), but exams by the university are moderate level.
My course in biochemistry. I choose this because it is interesting and yes it is. You will find a mixture of biology or chemistry or we can say biological chemistry. It's a nice course. The faculty is highly educated and qualified. There are supportive too. All the teachers have their own ppt which is really nice you can't get bored if you really like this course. The student ratio is not so bad it's okay. Taking a fair number 50. I think it's not bad. Ya, but there is girls' domination in this course. The exams were good but if you want to score well you can prepare 1 month before the exams. It depends on your quality and quantity.
Bachelor's degree in biochemistry provides exposure to research as well as the pharmaceutical industry. Especially after the pandemic, the pharma sector is growing tremendously. Therefore, I believe pursuing a great course from a prestigious college like Sri Venkateswara College would lead me to "The road to success". Talking about the college, the faculty is great and the lab facilities are incomparable to any other college. The questions framed for the semester exams or the midterms are logical and high order thinking based.
Well the course provides a deep breath for the subject Biochemistry. PS I took it on the suggestion of my best friend's sister. Well you have 2 teachers 1:Theory / 1: Practicals so I don't think faculty ratio would be a problem to you In my course every professor is PhD level proficient with more than 10+ years of experience Exams are held at the end of each semester ie 6 months and level of questions is fairly easy if you've completed the syllabus
I always liked Chemistry and that was the reason I choose biochemistry so I could study the phenomenons and structure of molecules that makes us live. I am glad I choose Venky to be my college as the faculty staff is very good. The teachers are all understanding, very caring and taught us well about every concept. All are highly qualified PhD holders. They are very responsible and strict too if they need to be. If you take admitted to this course you will get two teachers per subject that will teach and guide you through your 3 years. The thing I Iike most about this college is that it always stands with whatever problem you are going through. They allot each student to a mentor so that we can share our problems no matter educational or personal with them and they give us suggestions and guide us for future career opportunities.
Being a government university college the fee structure is feasible. The fee is not more than 15000 rupees. The fees depends on the course. For science courses there is a slight rise in the fee than the arts and commerce courses.Only tuition fee is given by the students.
