Dislikes
- Girls to boys ratio is very less especially in branches like civil and mechanical.However, it is improving right now due to 10% reservation for girls in IITs. ~ Akaash R, B.Tech

The placements are very good in iit maddras. the companiees like google, microsoft, tata motors etc. they will give the real-worls experience to the students in terms of knowledge. and skills. the packages are also provided with proper skills.

- competition, which makes you feel like you are not talented sometimes
- some facilities can be upgraded like good gyms in hostels
- almost everything is good enough, if you don't expect more.

btech students sit for placements in 7th semester and dual degree students sit for placements in 9th semester. com panies like jaguar, mahindra etc.. last year i guess some 70-80% students are placed last year. after getting degree i might opt for higher studies or research

Many roles are avavilable at prestigious firms like TCS, Google, Microsoft the largest package costs more than 1crore, with the annual averages between INR 12 and 15 lakhs. Numerous pupils obtain positions. My goal is to work in the tech industry after graduation.

- despite having modern facilities some students may find certain aspects of campus infrastructure lacking and need of improvement.
- leading to stresses and pressure for some students competition among students for high grades internships create high pressure.

- The high level of competence among the students which makes the process of learning very toxic.
- The yellow colour water, and many such things which the adminstration ignores
- The mental stress that everyone in campus carries but still everyone just ignores to deal with it.

Third year students can seat for campus internships, while placementsgl are for final year students.
Companies like google, Microsoft, Adobe, etc do come to campus.
Average package for bioengineering is 9 LPA.
Around 99-100 % students get placed from campus.
My plan is to do a startup after getting an industry exposure. I am flexible to choose to do research or job in initialgl years after getting a degree.

- You can choose any course you like and work according to that even professors help you to choose course

- Some hostel needs upgradatin but they are working on it
Placement Experience:
it is great actually. my college average placement packege is 26 lacks per annum. every branch have different statistic but it is not bad at all. many people make their own start-ups and also some go for higher studies and off campus placement opportunies are great too. even professor helps sometimes to get yo job as they have great connenctions in industries themselves. with enough skills you can get a job and get proper future.

- Too much rain in institutes ( chennai) this i dont like
- Monkey taking foods from us - this one i dont like
- Telgu guys ,most of them are like mawali i dont like them
Course Curriculum Overview:
Cources are good only but there are some cources that I don't generally like for example - applied thermodynamics , main problems are professor basically . I think some xhanges should be done considering requirements and demands of student.

- Few old hostel needs to be renovated which should be done properly
- Renovation of Mechanical department which is not renovated from long time
- New innovative building need to be built, new cafeteria needed for chilling
Placement Experience:
Students involved in B. Tech programme can sit for the placments in their 4th year, while students pursuing dual degree(DD) have to sit in their final yea i.e 5th year. Highest package crosses 2 cr abd average package around 15 lakhs per annum. Many large companies and big firms come for recruiting from campus placements. Software and Quant profiles generally provide highest package folllowed by Data Scientist, developers and core braches. Around 70-80 percent of the students get placed who sit for the placements. You can also pursue higher studies by not sitting in placements.

- Food over is not good for North Indians so they need to find some alternative
- Sometimes things are delaying and academics didn't responds well

Curriculum was quite good but it depends more on professor , some of the courses need to be modify according to current time and suggest some real life usage of perticular courses , and mainly I likes project part give it more credit

It is a full-time degree or diploma and so it will have more value than online. But if we compare IIT Madras’ online degree or diploma with any other college’s then it is better.
The duration of the course is 3 years. The mode of training is online, the lectures are mostly recorded and partly live sessions.
Whether the course will be good or not that depends on what subject you are planning to pursue. If you opt for a subject related to technology, then it is not a good option. This is because technology cannot be learned through books or audiovisual. It requires you to be present in the field to gain experience and knowledge.

The online Data Science program at IIT Madras is a great opportunity for someone who can not attend regular college because of financial constraints, illness, or other reasons.
