To register, follow these steps:

1. Visit the Anna University website and fill out the registration form for TNEA.
2. A fee will be charged, which has to be paid online.
3. Fill out the application. Incorrect or incomplete data will result in the candidate’s application being rejected.
4. Take out a printout of the application form and send a copy to the Director of Admissions of Anna University.
5. After the merit list is declared, candidates have to download the counselling call letter and visit the counselling venue with the necessary documents and a demand draft of 5,000 INR.
6. After all processes are completed, an allotment order will be handed to the applicant. At this stage, the counselling fee has to be paid.
7. The candidate has to report to their college and submit the allotment order to confirm their admission.

Candidate should have passed Higher Secondary Examination of ( 12th) Curriculum (Academic Stream ) prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry as three or four subjects of the study prescribed under part III or any other examination of any university or authority accepted by the syndicate of the Anna University as equivalent thereto. Candidates must qualify TNEA Entrance exam. Visit the Anna University website and fill out the registration form for TNEA. 

The counseling process for admission to MIT (Madras Institute of Technology), Chennai, for the 2025 session is expected to begin around June to July 2025, after the release of the TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions) merit list.
