I have friends from both CEG and MIT. Based on what I heard through them, I will say that in most measures such as jobs, exposure, teaching, the computer science departments in both universities are very alike.
Students from both places routinely get jobs at companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Google, and the like. They get admitted to excellent schools in the US for graduate studies. Alumni from both places have gone to start companies and attain success in many places. However, the main differences between the two places really do not have anything to do with "core" computer science at all. Yet I would say they are an essential part of computer science undergraduate education.
Here is a brief insight into the CSE courses offered by the two institutes.

MIT - Advantage:
The MIT score in the programming culture. Year after year, they train and produce some of the best ICPC teams in India. Students engage much more with their seniors and the spirit of programming is passed on very well.
CEG - Advantage:
CEG scores in exposure, Techofes. The scale of things is just a notch higher in CEG than in MIT, and if you are an active, outgoing student, the kind of things you will have access to at CEG is better than what is available at MIT. CEG is a much bigger college in the heart of the city, and this translates itself into a number of such "non-computer-science" advantages.
