College of Engineering, Guindy (CEG Guindy), Anna University, located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, is one of the oldest engineering institutions in India. The college is affiliated with Anna University. It offers full-time UG, PG, and doctoral programmes across fields such as Engineering, Technology, Management, Computer Applications, and Sciences.
CEG Guindy most popular courses offered at the UG level are the degrees in Engineering - Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Technology offered as a four-year degree in multiple specialisations. Candidates for all the UG courses are required to have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and a minimum of 45% marks in those subjects.

CEG Guindy Application Process 2026
Candidates may follow the steps given below to fill the application form carefully. The applications received directly other than the online application portal will not be considered and will be rejected. The application fee for BE/BTech is INR 800, while candidates applying to MSc/Integrated MSc must pay INR 1000+GST.

- Upload a recently taken passport size photograph (80 KB to 100 KB; JPG Format)
- Upload scanned copies (pdf format) of the following:

CEG Guindy Admission FAQs 2026
Ques. Is there a refund policy at CEG Guindy, with regard to provisional allotment?
Ans. An applicant who declines after the publication of Tentative Allotment OR an applicant who is not allotted a Branch during Provisional Allotment shall be eligible for 100% Refund of the Initial Deposit. After provisional allotment, an applicant who does not join the branch allotted shall be eligible for 80% of Refund of the initial deposit. The candidates eligible for refund should apply through the Web Portal (cfa.annauniv.edu/cfa) within six months from the date of counseling. The application for refund submitted beyond six months will not be considered.
Ques. Which cities will the Anna University MSc Entrance Exam be held in?
Ans. Anna University’s MSc Entrance Exam will be held in Chennai, Coimbatore, and Tiruchirappalli.
Ques. In case of two candidates getting the same rank in the MSc Entrance Exam, who will be granted admission?
Ans. In case more than one candidate have got the same marks in the common rank list, inter-se rank among such candidates shall be determined in the order of priority as given below. 1. Total Marks in XII Standard Examination in percentage
2. Date of Birth (Senior will be placed above)

Ques. How will admission be granted to BE/BTech applications scoring the same rank in the merit list?
Ans. In cases where more than one candidate have got the same marks in the common merit list, the inter-se-merit among such candidates shall be determined in the order of priority as specified below.

Ques. Does CEG Guindy have reservations for Differently Abled Individuals as well?
Ans. Only Tamil Nadu Native Candidates are eligible for reservation under this category. Five percent of seats are reserved for Differently Abled Persons at 1% for each of the following categories :
a) Blindness and low vision.
b) Deaf and hard hearing.
c) Locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured dwarfism acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy.
d) Autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability and mental illness.
