It's an online Degree. I am actually studying in IISER Bhopal in offline mode pursuing full time degree. The admission procedure for IIT Madras online degree is through 2 ways . Either students are required to qualify for JEE advance through JEE mains or they have to clear the qualifier exam to get enrolled , which is the most followed path

- Courses are amazing and interesting to study
- Regular tests and level of assignment are up to the mark

- Students need some live interaction with theacher
- Some faculties are need to be improved like Statistics 2

You can get into this course by two way, directly entry or JEE based Application is available on IIT M website Reservation is as per the government of India policy Exams occurrs in a month and weekly assignment are provided

- Even though it's an online Degree, the environment is quite engaging. They divided students in 12 houses and organize many intra house competition to attain maximum participation of the students.
- The flexibility, it allows us to choose how many courses one want to register according to their capability or time and even allows to pursue this any other Degree along with it.
Dislikes
- Teaching, teaching being a plus point sometimes fire back. No doubt faculties are one of the top faculties of India but teaching style of some faculties you might not like, everything goes above the head.
- The fees might be too much for many of the students. Even though fee wavier is there but it's still too much for many students specially those who want to pursue with another degree.
Admission:
Students have to give an entrance exam conducted by IITM itself, the fee for which is 3000 INR(1,500 INR for SC/ST) but JEE students who have qualified for JEE Advanced don't need to give the exam but have to register for the program by paying the same fee. Students from any background can avail for this Degree if they have English and Maths as the main subject in 10th class, there is no age barrier as well. After the registration you will be enrolled in program and they will provide you 4 weeks of content, the exam will come from these content only. There is no cutoff for this exam but you have to score minimum 40% in qualifier exam to continue program(35% for OBC/EWS and 30% for SC/ST). The registraion opens three times a year i.e.November,June and August the time may vary a little bit.

- It being a four year degree you can apply to gate and foreign universities

- The course is hybrid so campus facilities are not accessible
- The placement are not at par with the regular student of IITm

There are two ways to enter this course first is jee based entry if you are eligible for jee advanced you can directly take admission otherwise you have to give a exam course content and other necessary information will be provided by iitm there is some cutoff that you have to clear to get admission

You have to clear the cut off of jee advanced and you get direct admission otherwise you have to seat in qualifier exam and for this exam materials are provided from those sides. No reservation seat is occupied. Difficulty level is moderated for qualifier exam

- If they provide on campus study then is very good

Admission process is simple you can go through jee advanced in the bs directly or give qualifier exam in bs in data science and application. Students who cleared in jee mains can apply. On the website I found the application form. The four year fees is nearly 4.5 lakh Theory provide scholarship on the basis of cgpa in diploma level not in foundation level

- Sometimes it gets hard to ask doubt in the group of 70-70students
- Sometimes I am not able to understand some topic when it is taught by TAs

Eligibility of the course: passing class 12th board is only criteria On the iitm website you can get the information about the course Reservation benifits are provided. All the details about the reservation is present on the website. The fees waiver is upto 75%

- Degree is inspiring all sections of people to study and be called as IITians

- The professors are sometimes difficult to understand in explanation but teaching assistants help at that time
- No clear mode of information for students apart from gmail

The only eligibility for this course is that one should have studied mathematics in his/her class 10th, apart from that there is no other eligibility to opt for this course. One can find the application form, fee details, and application dates by visiting the official website of IITMBS which is study.iitm.ac.in. One can get reservation benefits if he /she has less family income and based on caste too. To get detailed information one should check the details through the website only for precise and updated information, everything is mentioned there. also one needs documents of proof to get any fee reservations. No, the admission process is overall good and fulfills the need.

You have to clear a qualifier that can be given in 3 terms a year in JANUARY, MAY, and SEPTEMBER terms there is a 25% and 75% fee reduction for specific students even online fests like MARGAZIH are organized in January and offline fest PARADOX is organized in May Better than my offline local college.

How is M.Tech Bioprocess Engineering at IIT Madras?
M.Tech Bioprocess Engineering specifically revolves around Mathematical concepts and even contains concepts related to engineering mathematics. It is most suitable for those who study Engineering Mathematics in their Bachelor's program. For those with only GATE-level Math knowledge, it might be difficult to cope and you might even end with a low CGPA.
Some core subjects that contain tough Mathematical concepts include
- Transport Phenomenon
- Thermodynamics in Biochemical Engineering
- Bioprocess Control
- Downstream Processing
Additionally, there are assignments related to coding in MATLAB in Thermodynamics and Bioprocess Control which are very challenging unless you find good assistance by your friends or seniors.
