Exit:
- Once the learner successfully completes 40 credits from Degree Level courses, they can exit with a BSc Degree in Programming & Data Science from IIT Madras.
Course Duration: 1 - 3 years (10 hrs/course/week)

Credit Requirements
Learners have to complete a minimum of 40 credits at the degree level:
- 4 credits from mandatory course titled “Styrategies for Professional Growth”
- credits from 2 Core Courses of 4 credits each. There are 3 pairs of core course options to pick from.
- 24 credits from Elective Courses - 6 courses of 4 credits each or more courses of lesser credits.
- 4 to 8 credits from Free Electives. These are to be completed on NPTEL and the credits transfered to this degree program.

Course Curriculum Overview:
The specific aspect of curriculum is that it exposes the student to the actual applications of data science in the real world . The exams are held monthly once. Their difficulty level can be rated moderate.

Courses are upto the mark, it is designed to meet industry level The tag I'd IIT is also a big factor to decide to choose this course Curriculum is well structured and we are given alot of projects which help to enhance resume Area need to be improved are statistics
Likes
- Even though it's an online Degree, the environment is quite engaging. They divided students in 12 houses and organize many intra house competition to attain maximum participation of the students.
- The flexibility, it allows us to choose how many courses one want to register according to their capability or time and even allows to pursue this any other Degree along with it.
Dislikes
- Teaching, teaching being a plus point sometimes fire back. No doubt faculties are one of the top faculties of India but teaching style of some faculties you might not like, everything goes above the head.
- The fees might be too much for many of the students. Even though fee wavier is there but it's still too much for many students specially those who want to pursue with another degree.
Course Curriculum Overview:
Despite being a Degree offered by IITM, curriculum is one of the main point I consider pursuing this Degree. The curriculum is well designed and flexible according to today's demand in the industry. And the examing procedure is also quite good making it a relevant Degree. The exam pattern is made in a manner that the year is divided in 3 terms i.e. 4 months for each term, first and second month there's quiz i.e. quiz1 and quiz2 containing the syllabus of week1-4 and week 1-8 respectively and on the third months there is end term exam. Marks of both the quizzes are included in CGPA , and attending one of the two quizzes is mandatory.

- Placement by IITM is provided which will also increase in the upcoming years
- It being a four year degree you can apply to gate and foreign universities
Dislikes
- The course is hybrid so campus facilities are not accessible
- The placement are not at par with the regular student of IITm

The course is built according to industry need and since it's a hybrid course many new age courses are introduced rather than sticking to 20 years old syllabus , the exams happen almost every month and we have to go to centre to give examination

- Online lectures which makes college life dull.

Very much relavent to the industry standards. Data science and ai is a niche and growing market so I choose this. The curriculum is well designed and balanced . If you put in efforts it's achievable smoothly. Areas of improvement * introducing offline lectures * more No of subjects can be introduced Frequency of exam every 4 weeks

Here I'm doing data science and engineering. As the trends go to the direction of AI and data science, I choose that course for that. Teaching methods is online. You have to be provided lectures in each week with graded assignment and this have to complete all of them

- If they provide on campus study then is very good

I want to become a data scientist and alumni of IIT Madras This is a online program so any one who cleared jee mains and give advanced can apply. I join the program through jee mains They provide lecture and it is awesome and conducting Live session,doubt session 3 alternate days days in a week . There is 3 terms in a year and in one term 3 exam held . Quiz 1, apquiz 2 and end term .

- The experience faculty members are really great.
- They make sure that students can interact with each other
Dislikes
- Sometimes it gets hard to ask doubt in the group of 70-70students
- Sometimes I am not able to understand some topic when it is taught by TAs

The the course curriculum is great and faculty members are also really good. I have choosen this course because the demand of the data science is increasing and I was also interested in this course.So I choose this course The student and teacher ratio is 40:1 They are highly qualified and minimum holding rank of assistant professor. The term exam has good level of problem. U have to do hard work to pass the exam

- Degree is inspiring all sections of people to study and be called as IITians

- The professors are sometimes difficult to understand in explanation but teaching assistants help at that time
- No clear mode of information for students apart from gmail
Course Curriculum Overview:
I chose this course to get a degree from IIT Madras and to study from IIT professors this was affordable for me and was flexible enough to work for other goals too. Since this is an online degree there is no relevance to student: faculty ratio as one teacher can reach to crowd of millions via video courses. Every faculty is an IIT graduate or post-graduate or PhD holder from reputed national or international colleges, the teaching method is really impressive with theory videos followed by practice questions just after the video to learn the practical use of theory, the doubt sessions, and academic support is also very satisfying for one who wants to study. The time of term exams depends on the number of subjects 1 hour for 1 subject is given, and the difficulty level is not too much if you have sufficiently practiced and submitted all graded assignments on your own.

Course Curriculum Overview:
3 exams in each term for each subject with additional coding exams quiz 1 quiz2 End term exam difficult if you do not study properly easy if you just study the material provided by the college just focus on what's being taught.
