The admit card for JEE Main session 1 will be available on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in 3-4 days before the exam.

Along with the admit card following documents are needed to be carried to the exam hall

  • One original ID, such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Passport, Voter ID, or School ID (with photo).
  • One or two copies, same as the one uploaded during registration.
  • The undertaking self-declaration from the NTA website, filled out and signed.

What to Carry with the JEE Main Admit Card 2026?

Candidates MUST carry the following documents on the day of the Examination at the test centre. In the absence of these documents, candidates will not be allowed to appear for the Examination.

Ans: The dress code for JEE Main 2026 includes light, comfortable clothing without metallic items. Also, wear sandals and slippers if possible instead of shoes. Candidates are also advised to avoid jewellery, caps, and accessories.

For B.Arch Students: What to Carry With JEE Main Admit Card 2026.

For candidates who are taking the B.Arch exam, they may also bring their geometry kits, drawing supplies, and coloured pencils with them to the exam hall.

During the B.Arch examination, candidates must carry the following additional equipment that may be necessary for their drawing examination:

  • Coloured pencils
  • Erasers
  • Crayons
  • Geometry Sets

Ans: Electronic devices include phones, calculators, log tables, pagers, tablets, and laptops.

  • Books, notebooks, and paper are not to be carried.
  • Refrain from talking pen or pencil, pencil box, or geometry set.
  • Don't carry bags or backpacks, because exam centres may not have proper facilities to deposit them and keep them safe.
  • ID cards issued by schools/ colleges/ universities/coaching centres are not allowed.

Code of conduct during examination

The Examination Rules require all candidates to remain silent throughout their examination. Any form of communication, gestures, or disturbances in any part of the Examination Hall will be considered inappropriate. Any candidate found guilty of cheating or impersonating another individual will have their application cancelled and may be barred from taking further examinations either indefinitely or for some specified period of time, depending on the severity of the actions committed.

Dress Code and Prohibited Items

The JEE Main has a strict dress code listed on your JEE Main admit card that must be followed to avoid delays during the frisking process and to get into the examination hall.

  • In case of any discrepancy, immediately contact and file a complaint to NTA on the given phone and email.
