For popular branches like CSE, the rank was closed at 7651; For AI & DS, the ranks closed even lower at 6896; For ECE, the ranks closed at 10909.
- The official cutoff will be released by NTA after declaring the JEE Main second session result on 20 April.

As per the official JoSAA cutoff for NIT Delhi over the past 5 years, the data clearly shows that software-centric branches like CSE and AI & DS remain the most competitive, with cutoff rank closing even more tightly in 2025.
- The AI & DS branch, which was introduced in 2023, quickly matched the CSE level competition.
- Electrical and ECE remained at the mid-tier level throughout these years.
- Core branches such as Mechanical and Civil continue to offer relaxed and wider rank windows to aspirants who want to get admission in NIT Delhi.
