JEE Main exam 2026 Session 1 is ongoing, and JEE Main 2026 dropped questions list is yet to be released by NTA. NTA will publish the list of dropped questions along with the JEE Main final answer key 2026.

  • JEE Main 2026 dropped questions list is likely to be released on 10 January 2026 for Session 1.
  • For each question dropped in JEE Main 2026, you will get +4 marks if you appeared for that particular shift.
  • You will still get the marks even if you did not attempt the dropped question from your shift/paper.
  • Last year, a total of 14 questions were dropped in both sessions of JEE Main exam.
  • In Session 1, 12 questions were dropped, and in Session 2 of JEE Main exam last year, only 2 questions were dropped.
  • 10 questions dropped in JEE Main 2025 session 1 were MCQs, and 2 were NAT questions.

To check JEE Main 2026 dropped questions list, you can follow the steps listed below.

  • Against the question ID of each dropped question, “Drop” or “Dropped” will be mentioned instead of its “Option ID”.

JEE Main 2025 Dropped Questions List Session 1

Last year, a total of 12 questions were dropped in the Session 1 JEE Main examination for BE/BTech. An equal number of questions were dropped from JEE Main 2025 in exam centers in India and international exam centers.

  • 8 questions were dropped from Physics in JEE Main session 1 last year, with 4 each in exam centers in India and outside India.
  • Mathematics and Chemistry each recorded 2 dropped questions in JEE Main 2025.

In Session 2 of JEE Main last year, only 2 questions were dropped. Both questions dropped were from Physics.

  • 1 question was dropped from JEE Main exam centers in India, and 1 from exam centers outside India.
  • Both questions were dropped from the same date and shift of JEE Main examination.

Ans. When a question is dropped in JEE Main examination, you will get full marks (+4) regardless of whether you attempt the question or not. However, you must have appeared for the same shift from which the question is dropped.
