CBSE Class 12 Paper Analysis 2024: CBSE conducted class 12 final board exams from February 15 to April 2, 2024. This year, CBSE board exams were comparatively tougher than previous years due to a higher number of competency-based questions. However, Hindi and English papers were reported to be easy. You can check the difficulty level and a detailed analysis of each exam from this article.

The question paper pattern for each subject is the same as CBSE Class 12 Sample Papers released by the board. There are 20% MCQs, 40% competency-based questions, and 40% short answer questions for a total of 100 marks paper. You must score at least 33% marks to pass the exams.

CBSE concluded class 12th board exams on April 2 with Computer Science paper. Students who appeared for the exam found the paper to be moderate.

CBSE Class 12 Physics Paper Analysis 2023

The Physics paper was conducted on March 6, 2023. Most of the students found the paper to be well-balanced with a good mix of easy and tricky questions. The majority of the questions were direct and numericals were moderate. There were 5 sections in the paper with marks division as follows:

  • Section A had 18 MCQs with 1 mark each.
  • Section B had 7 very short answer questions each carrying 2 marks.
  • Section C included 5 short answer questions for 3 marks each.
  • Section D had 3 long answer questions carrying 5 marks each.
  • Section E contained case-study-based questions. There were 2 questions carrying 4 marks each.

MCQs were quite easy and long answer derivations were direct from the NCERT book. The short answer questions were a little tricky.

CBSE Class 12 Chemistry Paper Analysis 2023

CBSE conducted class 12 Chemistry exam on February 28, 2023. There was a mixed reaction from students about the Chemistry exam. However, most of the students found the paper balanced and moderate. The question paper carried a total of 35 questions divided into 5 sections.

  • Section A contained 18 MCQ-based questions each carrying 1 mark. This was the highest-scoring section.
  • Section B included 7 very short answer-type questions. Each question in this section carried 2 marks.
  • Section C included 5 short answer type questions for 3 marks each.
  • Section D contained case-based questions. There were 2 questions each carrying 4 marks.
  • Section E included 3 long answer-type questions. Each question was of 5 marks.

The questions were direct and nothing was asked out of the syllabus. The difficulty level for the numerical-based questions was average.

CBSE Class 12 Maths Paper Analysis 2023

CBSE Class 12 Maths paper was moderately difficult for students. The exam was conducted on March 11, 2023. Mathematics question paper was divided into 5 sections – A, B, C, D, and E.

  • Section A had 20 MCQ questions each having 1 mark.
  • Section B contained 5 very short answer questions of 2 marks each.
  • Section C contained 6 short answer questions. Each question carried 3 marks.
  • Section D had 4 long answer questions each of 5 marks.
  • Section E consisted of 3 case-based questions each carrying 4 marks.

MCQ questions were found to be tricky and time-consuming, however, the long answer questions were directly from NCERT. There were a total of 38 questions in the exam and the exam carried 80 marks.

CBSE Class 12 Biology Paper Analysis 2023

CBSE Class 12 Biology exam was moderate as per the initial reactions of the students. The three-mark questions were difficult and the case-study-based questions were found to be tricky. However, the overall paper was scoring. There were 33 questions and 5 sections in the paper.

  • Section A included MCQs and assertion-reason-based questions. This section was quite easy.
  • Section B carried 5 very short answer type questions of 2 marks each.
