CBSE Class 12 Political Science syllabus is divided into 2 parts of theory and 1 part of project work. Each theory part is worth 40 marks, while the project has a total weightage of 20 marks. CBSE Class 12 Political Science Theory exam is conducted for a total of 80 marks. You will get 3 hours to write the exam.

  • The two parts of the CBSE Class 12 Political Science Syllabus theory portion include Part A—Contemporary World Politics and Part B—Politics in India since Independence.
  • Project work is divided into 2 parts: Viva Voce and project file/model.

CBSE Class 12 Political Science Syllabus for Project Work

CBSE Class 12 Political Science project work has a total weightage of 20 marks. These 20 marks are equally divided: 10 marks are allotted to viva voce and the remaining 10 marks to project work. The evaluation of project work is done jointly by the internal as well as external examiners.

  • The project can be individual/pair/group of 4-5 each.
  • The project has to be made on the topics given in the CBSE Class 12 Political Science Syllabus.
  • The suggestive list of activities for project work is as follows: Role Play, Skit, Presentation, Model, Field Survey, Mock Drills/Mock Event.
  • Topics for project work taken up by the student must be discussed by the teacher in the classroom.
